Year 8 of Rainbow Six Siege is here, and with it comes Operation Commanding Force and a new Attacker dubbed Brava, whose Kludge drone can hack the Defenders’ technological gear to destroy them or flip their allegiance. Also included in the first season of the new year are beginning tasks to help players learn the basics of Siege, a reworked reload, and an anti-cheat mechanism designed specifically for capturing mouse-and-keyboard players on the console.
Those who purchase the premium tier of the Operation Commanding Force Battle Pass at the start of the season will have access to Brava two weeks later for the cost of Renown or R6 credits. Starting on February 20, players can purchase the Year 8 Pass to receive a discount on all four seasonal battle passes for Year 8, as well as other perks including accelerated tier unlocks and other bonuses.
Brava, a Brazilian native, is a new addition to the Attackers’ Viperstrike squad, Hibana’s high-performance, do-it-all team. Given that none of us have actually played the game, this says nothing about how good it is. The magnitude of the changes that Lightfall will bring to the game, though, is something that I fear may be overlooked. Hence, to review:

Much of the time was spent on the creepy monsters in Lies of P, which in this video look like an odd mix of robotic puppet creatures and weird, slimy, Lovecraftian horrors. In other words, you won’t find any books of the scripture or grimoires on every map. Because of this, locating them can be a little tricky. Selecting an assignment will reveal that some maps feature a special Diamond icon. This signifies that either grimoires or scriptures can be found on this map.
Both products share the same icon. Hence, you must select the assignment to learn if it is a grimoire or a scripture. Also, a mission with the secondary goal of discovering such texts, such as a grimoire, is likely to yield such documents.
