  • Dying Light Creators Teases New Fantasy RPG Game with Stunning Concept Art

Dying Light Creators Teases New Fantasy RPG Game with Stunning Concept Art

This week, Techland, the company behind games like Dying Light and its Dying Light 2 sequel, teased the upcoming title. We don’t yet know a name for the game, but whatever it is, it’s different from the Dying Light series since we know from the first teaser that it’ll be a fantasy RPG.

The most recent teaser from Techland revealed some concept art and reiterated the company’s dedication to making “compelling story-focused” games. In the most recent Techland teaser, a character was seen clinging to a portion of a tree and gazing out at what appeared to be a fantasy landscape.

A partially destroyed moon or planet of some kind looms in the sky behind a mountaintop community, which is surrounded by hints of other biomes.

“We never stop improving! Our newest game is set to be a narrative-driven #fantasy epic with an exotic open world ready to be explored,” Techland said about its new game. “We strive to create a compelling story-focused #AAA title that combines and refines the best aspects of gameplay that Techland is known for.”

This game’s first teaser was released in May 2022, so it has been a while since we’ve heard anything new about it.

The previous tease from Techland included comments from the studio about the upcoming project that deviates from what Techland is usually known for as well as job postings where the developer was hiring for the game.

“We want to create a fully next-gen experience,” part of the statement from Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka said last year.

“A new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world, fueled by the skills and experience we have gained as a team over the years, infused with new ideas, passion, and creativity. While we cannot share more details about this project now, we’re all truly invested in it and looking forward to showing it to gamers when the time is right.”

There is no release date yet for Techland’s new fantasy role-playing game.

  • Marvel Snap Announces New Conquest Battle Mode for Upcoming Update

Marvel Snap Announces New Conquest Battle Mode for Upcoming Update

Shortly, Marvel Snap will introduce a new game mode. Conquest will be a new Battle Mode that Marvel Snap will be introducing, the company announced this week.

With a ranked structure, the new game mode parodies the well-known Friendly Battle mode. To win a string of battles without losing, players progress through various leagues.

They can enter the following league if they succeed in winning three straight games. Victories also award Medals, which can be used to buy cosmetics and an exclusive variety that is available in the brand-new Conquest Shop in-game.

The process by which players obtain cards—long regarded as one of the worst aspects of the game—will also be changing, according to Marvel Snap. Players can now get one free Series 3 card per season, and they can also get more Tokens from caches and reserves to get higher series cards more quickly.

As part of its overhaul, Marvel Snap is also dividing the Token Shop into several distinct sections. These include a new “Weekly Spotlight” section that showcases the most recent cards and an Ultimate Variant section that showcases the coolest variants in the game.

The patches for March and April will include these features. The matchmaking and ranked mode systems have issues, too, and Marvel Snap acknowledged this as well while indicating that potential improvements were being considered.

See the most recent information about your favorite games:

The game’s creators acknowledge that it can be challenging to improve on a previous season’s rank and that they were looking for ways to streamline the procedure for players who primarily care about their rank each season.

The list of additional ideas shared as being taken into consideration included guilds, mythic variations, seasonal audio, and a new test deck mode. These are just possibilities; they haven’t been confirmed. On Marvel Snap’s in-game blog, you can read the entire article.

  • Mortal Kombat 12 Teaser Reveals Possible Game Modes: Konquest in the Lead

Mortal Kombat 12 Teaser Reveals Possible Game Modes: Konquest in the Lead

Mortal Kombat 12 was unceremoniously revealed during a Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call last month. In the weeks since not a single piece of information has been made public about the game, but Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon has always been known to tease things on social media.

A new poll from Boon asking fans about modes that have appeared in earlier series installments is back. When Boon asked fans which of these modes they would like to see the return “in a future MK game,” they responded with Chess Kombat, Konquest, Motor Kombat, and Puzzle Kombat.

The tweet from Boon is embedded below, and as of this writing, the poll is still open for a few more hours.

The poll has received over 67,000 votes, and Konquest is currently in the lead with 44.4% of the vote. Motor Kombat is in second with 31% of the vote, Chess Kombat with 18.1%, and Puzzle Kombat has 6.5%.

Although there is no guarantee that any of these modes will return in Mortal Kombat 12, it is clear that Boon is considering bringing one (or more) of them back. Readers are advised to keep this in mind.

Fans will currently just have to wait with patience to see what happens with this! Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance introduced the Konquest mode, which reappeared in Mortal Kombat: Deception and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

Although the mode hasn’t been seen since 2006, it is obvious that many Mortal Kombat fans still care deeply about it. All three games had a slightly different mode; the first two used RPG mechanics, while the third drew its inspiration from the adventure subgenre.

Here you can check some latest news about Mortal Kombat 12:

Each one, however, concentrated on single-player gameplay, allowing players to access content and discover the most effective moves and combos.

Clearly, Konquest still has a large following, and many of them have expressed a desire to see it come back along with Shujinko, who served as the mode’s main protagonist in Mortal Kombat: Deception.

  • Final Fantasy 16 Combat Mode to Feature Online Leaderboards

Final Fantasy 16 Combat Mode to Feature Online Leaderboards

Even though Final Fantasy 16 won’t be released for a few more months, Square Enix’s development team has been touring media outlets to promote the game.

The director and producer of Final Fantasy 16 recently discussed the game’s online connectivity in an interview with Japanese media, providing more details on what it will include when it is released.

Final Fantasy 16, one of the most anticipated and cinematic games of 2023, is being created by Creative Business Unit 3, the group responsible for the acclaimed Final Fantasy 14.

Final Fantasy fans have been anticipating and looking forward to the newest installment in Square Enix’s best-selling series since Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida was named the games’ producer for both of these releases.

Final Fantasy 16 Combat Mode to Feature Online Leaderboards
Final Fantasy 16 Combat Mode to Feature Online Leaderboards

Fans recently got a sneak peek at what to expect from Final Fantasy 16 thanks to the publication of press-only demo footage across several outlets. Recently, two developers were available to answer questions from Japanese media about the upcoming game.

CEO of Aitai Japan Audrey Lamsam translated a March 30 Famitsu magazine interview with Yoshida and Hiroshi Takai, the creator of Final Fantasy 16, on Twitter.

The notes have been translated, and it appears that Final Fantasy 16 will have online leaderboards for a combat-focused mode that pits players against a huge number of enemies and compares their performance to other players around the world.

The Devil May Cry series Bloody Palace, from which lead combat designer Ryota Suzuki drew inspiration for Final Fantasy 16’s combat, has been compared to the online feature. Suzuki designed the combat for Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon’s Dogma for Capcom before joining Square Enix.

The Famitsu interview also confirmed how long it will take to complete Final Fantasy 16’s main story, with Yoshida repeating that it could take players 35 hours or more.

    Must check:

If side quests and other types of content are taken into account, that time can double, bringing the total to over 70 hours for fans who want to experience everything Final Fantasy 16 has to offer.

Additionally, the game is said to have over 11 hours of cutscenes, not counting the cutscenes that take place during battle as part of quick-time events that players will need to be on the lookout for.

However, in the upcoming days, fans who are interested in hearing more from Yoshida will have the opportunity. At a Final Fantasy 16 panel at PAX East in Boston the following Saturday, March 25, Yoshida will be joined by localization lead Michael-Christopher Koji Fox.

It’s unclear how much more anticipation Final Fantasy fans can handle before the game’s release with only three months left.

  • High on Life Teases Horror-Themed Update or DLC

High on Life Teases Horror-Themed Update or DLC

A horror-themed update or DLC is being teased by the comedy game High on Life. This tease strongly suggests that High on Life will receive new content that will add something new to the experience and probably be tonally a little different from what the rest of it currently offers, even though the game has already received updates that add fixes and new graphics options for players to play around with.

When co-founder Justin Roiland left the company because he was being investigated on charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment, developer Squanch Games promised to update High on Life.

At the time, it was unclear in what form the updates would appear, but now that they have been teased, it is clearer how they will look.

    High on Life Teases Horror-Themed
    High on Life Teases Horror-Themed

A brief eight-second teaser with the title High on Knife written in what appears to be blood and some spilling off-camera was posted on the game’s official Twitter account.

The fact that the image only contains a title and the caption “High on Life content is coming soon” indicates that the image is meant to be a game update or downloadable content.

Given the theme, one might assume that the new material would be horror-related, but since High on Life is a game that focuses on making ridiculous jokes, it is more likely to be humorous than frightening.

High On Life share a tweet:

But some people have reacted unenthusiastically to the announcement. No one asked for the content, according to the top comment in response, which claims to speak for everyone.

The one below it criticizes High on Life for continuing to develop this content despite the base game’s lack of proper completion due to a lack of localization, and other comments refer to Roiland’s accusations.

Users who are more enthusiastic about the update speculate that it may be about Knifey, a character who appears early in the story of High on Life and who some feel was underused despite being introduced early in the game.

    Must check:

High on Life may find it difficult to separate itself from Roiland’s involvement, but whatever High on Knife turns out to be will give the game a chance to permanently sever this link.

If it succeeds while demonstrating to be a significant update to the game, it would be encouraging for Squanch Game’s future as it tries to move past a problematic individual who was once very involved in the business.

  • Diablo 4 Beta Update: Blizzard Pushes Hotfixes to Address Queue Problem

Diablo 4 Beta Update: Blizzard Pushes Hotfixes to Address Queue Problem

This past weekend, during the ongoing open beta, Diablo 4 players got their first taste of the game, though as some may have predicted, there were long wait times and error messages.

Blizzard made it clear that would be the case prior to the beta’s launch with a list of known issues that specifically mentioned those types of issues and an assurance that the Diablo team would be investigating the problems.

A follow-up message about these kinds of problems was sent out on Saturday, and it gave more information on what was being done and said that players should now have much easier access to the beta.

    Diablo 4 Beta Update
    Diablo 4 Beta Update

Adam Fletcher, the community manager for Diablo 4, posted a follow-up update to the one from late Friday night in the Blizzard forums. In this one, Fletcher claimed that a number of hotfixes were pushed on Friday to fix issues.

Adam Fletcher shares a tweet about a new update:

“Last night, the team pushed a few backend server hotfixes to address server stability and issues related to player parties that we reported on yesterday evening,” Fletcher said. “This has led to significantly improved queue times, so players should be experiencing much shorter waits to get into the game.”

Those playing on the Xbox and PlayStation platforms reported specific queue issues that seemed to be affecting them in particular, in addition to generally long wait times when the beta first launched on Friday. Blizzard is aware of this as well and is addressing the console issue.

“As of this morning, we are tracking a new issue related to some console players unable to get through queues,” Fletcher said. “We are also continuing some work on a few of the issues from last night and this morning that are affecting a small number of users.”

After unsuccessfully attempting to enter the Diablo 4 beta on more than one occasion on Saturday (on PC), it appears that some queue issues have been fixed, as entering the beta today was much simpler than it was on Friday when players would frequently have to wait for more than an hour.

Even though queue times frequently moved more quickly than expected, today’s queue speeds are encouraging for the remainder of this weekend’s beta testing as well as the beta testing that will take place the following weekend in a few days.

  • GTA 6 New Map Leak: Is Vice City Going to be Bigger Than Ever Before?

GTA 6 New Map Leak: Is Vice City Going to be Bigger Than Ever Before?

Grand Theft Auto VI, or at least an early build of GTA 6, was leaked online last year. Although it took them a while, Rockstar Games quickly removed the leaks from the Internet.

The GTA 6 leaks from the previous year were seen by everybody and their mother’s pet parakeet. The leaks included confirmation that Vice City, the game’s fictionalized version of Miami and the setting for years prior, was indeed the game’s setting and that it would be returning in this new installment.

However, fans have been able to get a good idea of how big said map is via Rage Engine Units, which makes up for the fact that the actual map was not disclosed in the leaks.

    GTA 6 Map Leak
    GTA 6 Map Leak

And if this prediction proves to be accurate, the map for GTA 6 will soon be enormous. Even by today’s standards, the map in GTA 5—which is ten years old—is still quite sizable.

In spite of this, once GTA 6 is released, it might appear to be very small. The GTA VI Vice City Mapping Project is a continuous effort to put the GTA 6 map together using the files of the aforementioned leak, which mention a wide range of things, including locations.

This project’s estimation suggests that GTA 6’s map will be significantly larger and utilize the ocean more, which isn’t surprising given that it is set in southern Florida.

GTA VI vs GTA V Map Comparison Based On Rage Engine Units
    byu/tusstaster inGTA6

Although this map appears enormous, it might not even be the whole picture. The files indicate that the map extends further north than what is shown, as one of the comments notes.

As you may be aware, there are rumors that various locations, including Liberty City (New York City), the Midwest, the Caribbean, and South America, may be involved; however, these locations are not mentioned in the files that were leaked.

If you want to read more about GTA 6 then click on the link below:

“There are countless cities/towns such as York Town, Red Hill, etc found in the files. Most of these locations point towards the north of Port Gelhorn, making the map expand even further north,” reads the disputed comment.

In light of everything stated above, proceed with caution. This estimate is based on files that were leaked. There is no reason to question the veracity of the leak or its files, which together form the basis for the aforementioned Reddit post, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is just conjecture.

We hope you have found all the relevant information about GTA 6 Map Leak. For more latest news and information, keep in touch with us at gameempress.com.

  • Secret PS5 Upgrade: How to Double Your Internet Speed?

Secret PS5 Upgrade: How to Double Your Internet Speed?

A bad Internet connection is a torture in this age of constantly updating games and enormous file sizes for games because it results in slow download speeds and constant waiting for things to download.

If you already have options for an improved plan or a different provider, those are the only real ways to fix poor Internet. Having said that, some claim that there are ways to not just increase but also double your download speeds in some cases.

Now, because some people will already be using this secret technique, it won’t apply to everyone. Having said that, double-check to make sure your console is connected to a 5GHz band—not a 2.4GHz band—of a Wi-Fi network.

    Secret PS5 Upgrade
    Secret PS5 Upgrade

In terms of network speed, the former offers a significant improvement that is necessary for faster download speeds. Navigate the PS5’s “Settings” menu until you find “Network” as the first step to activating 5GHz.

Finding “Settings” after clicking this will allow you to choose “Set Up Internet Connection.” Find your current network under “Registered Networks” from here, select “Options,” and then click “Forget Network.”

These are the initial three steps. We still have four more to go. Step 4 is to select “Scan Networks” by pressing the Triangle key. Find your network and sign in from here.

Here you can check the latest updates about PS5:

Press Options, choose “Wi-Fi Frequency,” and then set 5GHz after connecting to your network. Sixth, make sure your PS5 is using 5GHz by selecting Connection Status, View Connection Status, and precisely going back to one screen.

To see if there has been an improvement, the last step is to test the speeds using Connection Status and Test Internet Connection.

Your mileage will vary depending on several variables, and there’s a chance that none of this would apply if you were already using 5GHz.

  • Dead by Daylight Update: The Skull Merchant’s Changes

Dead by Daylight Update: The Skull Merchant’s Changes

The Skull Merchant, the most recent Killer in Dead by Daylight, will soon receive an update that aims to improve the Killer by addressing some of the issues players have had since the character’s release.

While from the perspective of the Survivors, some players feel the character excels too strongly at holding down a trio of generators, other players feel the character lacks power during chases and when it comes to Claw Traps.

The Skull Merchant is the current focus, but the update in question is expected to roll out sometime next week and include more changes than just these. The Skull Merchant will initially receive a Haste bonus for each Survivor who is being tracked by a drone or a Claw Trap, thanks to behavior.

    Dead by Daylight Update
    Dead by Daylight Update

Another modification to the chase will allow survivors to break both the pallet and the claw trap if they vault a pallet while being held back by a claw trap. While this modification does remove the claw trap, which is somewhat advantageous, it can also cause loops to end abruptly because there is no longer a pallet to vault over.

The Skull Merchant’s ability to control three or four generators will be less effective for the Survivors. The drones will no longer be immediately sent back to The Skull Merchant after being disabled; instead, they will only be returned after the corresponding Claw Traps have been deactivated.

Dead by Daylight share a tweet about a new update:

On the other hand, Claw Traps will now be instantly destroyed when their batteries run out so that players won’t encounter a scenario where Survivors hang onto their Claw Traps for a longer period than necessary to deny The Skull Merchant her drones.

If a Survivor is already harmed by a Claw Trap, they will also no longer be able to disable additional drones. Pallets breaking when someone with a Claw Trap vaults them is one of those changes, which was previously a side effect of an add-on called “Ultrasonic Trap Speaker.”

You can also look here for some other games updates:

The add-on gains a new effect now that the effect is a component of the character’s base equipment. In an active zone, Ultrasonic Trap Speaker now cuts down on the amount of time it takes for Undetectable to take effect by 50%, according to Behaviour.

The update for Dead by Daylight that is scheduled for next week will implement these changes.

  • Star Citizen Latest Update Caused a Major Outage

Star Citizen Latest Update Caused a Major Outage

The eagerly anticipated release of Star Citizen update 3.18 was accompanied by a wide range of issues that rendered the game completely unplayable for the vast majority of players, who were unable to log into the servers.

Version Alpha 3.18, which introduced several remarkably promising new technologies, may have been too complex to provide a dependable experience at first, as players who jumped in to give the new content a fair shot haven’t had much success.

Persistent Entity Streaming and Server Meshing, which together give the game the ability to “store” placed overworld items for a virtually infinite amount of time, were specifically introduced in Star Citizen Alpha 3.18.

Star Citizen Latest Update Caused a Major Outage
Star Citizen Latest Update Caused a Major Outage

Other noteworthy additions include, among others, the addition of vehicle racing, a wealth of new locations and events, and the entire gameplay loop related to salvaging. After years of development, Star Citizen finally saw the release of its first playable sections in 2013.

The innovative space-faring MMO is moving forward with Version Alpha 3.18, but its servers haven’t been able to keep up. Long wait times, a variety of login issues, and serious progression bugs were all issues that players were having when the server status was elevated to “Major Outage” late on March 13.

These issues have been somewhat resolved by the game’s creator, Cloud Imperium Games, but many of the ones brought on by the release of Alpha 3.18 still exist.

    Star Citizen tweet on Twitter:

Persistent Entity Streaming’s introduction in Star Citizen was always going to be difficult, primarily because of the feature’s complexity. Being a persistent, always-online MMO, it’s crucial that everything remains as it should be.

This includes players creating hidden caches, but it also includes things like crashes and combat situations. Although PES does not directly affect any particular gameplay loop, its implementation has an impact on the game’s foundation, which is probably what caused the current instability.

Server meshing was bundled with PES as well, and thanks to its functionality, the game’s standard 100-player servers can communicate with one another to produce a seamless, natural interaction.

    Must check:

Once Star Citizen’s current issues are resolved, this should help to make space combat, exploration, trading, and other diverse scenarios much more realistic and immersive. Late in 2022, Star Citizen passed $500 million in crowdfunding, which is an impressive feat indeed.

However, the fact that the game is still in its early alpha stages of development, nearly a decade after the start of its piecemeal launch schedule, is obviously concerning.

While it’s difficult to dispute CIG’s inventiveness in making Star Citizen nearly entirely unique in its niche, it’s also simple to understand why some people might be let down by the game’s protracted development.

  • Diablo IV Early Access Beta Testing Plagued by Long Queues and Authentication Issues

Diablo IV Early Access Beta Testing Plagued by Long Queues and Authentication Issues

Early access beta testing for Diablo IV has not gone as smoothly as expected, with queue times for many players approaching two hours and authentication server issues leading to slow or unsuccessful login attempts.

Although long login lines are nothing new for Blizzard games, fans may not have anticipated them for a beta that was only available to preorder customers.

Players may wait in lines during the early access beta, according to Blizzard, who also notes that the queue countdown may end and continue past the time limit. For the open beta that will take place the following weekend, Blizzard advises players to remain in line because “more accurate timers” will be in place.

    Blizzard CS share a tweet:

Additionally, Blizzard customer service has confirmed that a problem with the developer’s authentication servers is causing some players who do manage to get through the queues to experience failed or sluggish login attempts.

The beta may have bugs and issues, but the team will “evaluate all feedback we’ve received and will make changes as needed,” according to the official Diablo IV Twitter account.

Players aren’t too happy about the situation, with some tweeting that it’s disappointing to pay for the early access beta privilege only to find that it isn’t functioning as intended.

    Diablo IV Early Access
    Diablo IV Early Access

On Reddit, a lot of players have complained about game crashes or disconnections mid-session that send them to the back of the line.

The whole thing is already bringing back memories of the infamous Diablo III launch in 2012 and the dreaded “Error 37” message that prevented eager players from accessing the game for a considerable amount of time.

We can only hope that Blizzard can learn from its beta testing experiences and better prepare for Diablo IV’s official release on June 6, 2023, since this is only an early access beta and not the full Diablo IV launch.

Check out some of the most recent information regarding Diablo 4:

After defeating the dreaded queue boss in the Diablo IV beta, players will be rewarded with several exclusive games and a cute wolf pup backpack that will remain in the game once they reach certain milestones.

The first Act of the game, which is in its entirety in the beta, is accessible to players up to level 25. Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Rogue are the three classes available in the early access beta, whereas all five of the game’s launch classes—including Druid and Necromancer—will be available in the open beta.

Far Cry 5 Gets 60 FPS Update for 5th Anniversary Celebration

Ubisoft announced a 60fps update for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in honor of Far Cry 5’s fifth birthday. This update, which is currently accessible, is applicable to every mode in Far Cry 5. The solo campaign, co-op mode, Arcade (Far Cry 5’s map editor), and all DLC are all covered by this.

Edwin Evans-Thirlwell referred to Far Cry 5 as a “competent yet conflicted open-worlder” in the 2018 review.

“The first installment to be set in North America, Far Cry 5 is Far Cry at its least engrossing, clumsiest and most basic, though there’s still just enough going on here to keep a returning fan involved,” he wrote at the time.

Check out some latest news about Far Cry 5:

He was more complimentary of the game’s Arcade mode, though. He even referred to it as the “heart” of Far Cry 5.
