Genshin Impact Mania: In 2022, the most talked about game on Twitter was HoYoverse’s action RPG, Genshin Impact. The conclusion of Inazuma’s Archon Quest and the start of the Travelers’ exploration of the new region of Sumeru have made this an exciting year.
The long-awaited Dendro Archon Nahida, also known as Lesser Lord Kusanagi, was among the many fan-favorite characters added to the roster in Genshin Impact. The infamous 6th Harbinger Scaramouche, now an Anemo character known as the Wanderer, has been added in the latest patch.
The official Genshin Impact subreddit claims that the game received the most tweets in 2022. According to gamesindustry.biz, in 2022, there were 12,571 tweets and 3,903,520 retweets mentioning Genshin Impact.
It’s not surprising, seeing as how Wanderer’s announcement broke multiple records for interest, and Nahida’s first banner appearance is now the most pulled regular banner in the game’s history.
Many players agree that the best thing to happen to HoYoverse in 2022 was introducing the new Dendro element in update 3.0.

Dendro added a tonne of new elemental reactions to the game’s combat system, which was desperately needed. Before it appeared, players in the Spiral Abyss had to rely on just two or three effective elemental reactions to keep up with the tough competition.
Dendro has also revitalized the meta by making previously unimportant DPS units like Keqing essential to Aggravate lineups. With the new elemental reactions, Sangonomiya Kokomi was also brought back to life.
The new Bloom reaction has made her one of the most popular characters in the Spiral Abyss, despite her initial lackluster reception as a Hydro user. HoYoverse’s developer has already announced two new characters for 2023. These are Alhaitham and Yaoyao.

They’ll both be using the Dendro element, and the first banner for the upcoming (January 18) 3.4 update to Genshin Impact promises to feature them both.
Recent speculation has suggested that Fontaine, the following central region, will host the next chapter of the Archon Quest.
Players will have to wait until the summer’s end for official information, so for the time being, they should take these rumors with a grain of salt.
Released today for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 is the action game Genshin Impact. The Switch version is currently in production.
