The Merchant still harbors a grudge against the rats and asks Leon to expel them from several spots throughout Resident Evil 4 Remake, despite the hamlet and castle being overrun by infected citizens and creatures. Most of this request is simple, and you may finish it while looking for the Great Hall’s three statue heads.
In exchange, you’ll get some Spinels. The request tells you where the Great Hall and Library are, but no rats are in any of these places. You are to find a total of three rats as per this instruction.
Resident Evil 4 Remake More Pest Control Rats Locations!
Simply eliminate the three scattered rats throughout the castle to fulfill this request. You can shoot them or preserve your ammo by swinging a knife at them, but be careful since they are pretty swift and nimble! Their squeaking sound serves as a clear audible cue that one is nearby.
The first rat is found in the staircase from the Grand Hall to the Dining Hall. You take up the request initially right past the door. Rats flee from Leon, and the player might unintentionally force one into the Dining Hall, but with the acoustic cue, it should be simple to find.

The hallway to the Armory is where you can find the second rat. You need just move from the Great Hall toward the Armory to pick up the rat’s audio cues. Check beneath the suits of armor that adorn the hall since this rat likes to hide there.
The third rat is significantly harder to find and unreachable until chapter 10. As Ashley, you’ll encounter the rat as you race through the Library’s hallways, but you won’t be able to kill it until Leon has been set free. After releasing Leon from prison, chapter 10 begins.
Before moving on to the following section, browse the Great Hall area. You can now go back to the regions Leon had to dash through to pick up and plunder the objects you had first to avoid. After completing the statue, a new door will appear; enter it to access the room where you first met Ashley by entering the door on your right.
The rat will be running around in the next hallway, which will be pretty dark. Leon can be found easily because it has a flashlight; if you can’t see it, wait until it makes a noise. The rat won’t be able to exit this hallway because both doors are closed, trapping it inside.
