Konami has just published Update v1.5.1 for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Although Konami has not yet released the update patch notes, we know a few of its features.
For the game’s more sentimental players, it contains a particular little surprise, for instance. And depending on the decks they roll with, some players might never see it. As you may know, Blue Eyes decks continue to change, keeping Blue-Eyes White Dragon relevant in the metagame.
Even though the current meta makes it challenging for these decks to compete at the top of Master Duel, some of them are still playable, which is more than most early Yu-Gi-Oh cards can say about themselves, given that the meta has left many early Yu-Gi-Oh cards in the dust.
If you play a deck with Blue-Eyes White Dragon, you’ll be happy to hear that the card now features a new finishing blow animation that displays the dragon’s recognizable beam. With the release of v1.5.1, this was introduced.

The game’s user interface and visual presentation have undergone several other improvements along with the inclusion. For example, the game now includes an animation for a chain reaction and an indicator that shows whether a card’s effects have already been used this turn. A new feature lets players use a team’s ID to invite other groups to a team battle.
