In 2016, Playground Games and Microsoft Studios released Forza Horizon 3, a racing video game for the Xbox One and Windows. It is the third Forza Horizon game and the ninth main installment in the Forza series. The player takes on the role of the Horizon automobile festival’s leader in a made-up Australia and is tasked with growing the event by holding various activities and satisfying the needs of festival goers. In keeping with past Forza Horizon games, the map can be explored at your leisure.
It wasn’t until 2014 that work began on Forza Horizon 3, following the success of the previous installment. Just like previous Forza Horizon games, this one has some help from the talented folks at Turn 10 Studios. During production, Playground Games experimented with a variety of technology ideas for the game, all with the goal of making the game better in more ways than its predecessor. Due to its geographical diversity, Australia was selected as the game’s location, prompting developers to send a study team Down Under.
September of 2016 saw the release of Forza Horizon 3. Initial reviews were positive, with particular acclaim for the game’s level design, graphics, and the sheer volume of content, and negative remarks focused on the repetitive nature of the races. Over 2.5 million copies were sold in 2017, and the game was nominated for numerous awards.
There have also been regular updates to the game’s downloadable content, including two add-on packs. Forza Horizon 4 came out in 2018, and it was the sequel to this game.

Gameplay
In Forza Horizon 3, players compete in several racing events over a vast, open area based on an imagined version of Australia. The game’s map is rough twice as big as that of Forza Horizon 2, and it has areas and landmarks inspired by Australia.
The player, who in previous Forza Horizon games was shown to be one of the festival’s racers, is now the director of the festival, and it is their job to extend it around Australia by competing in races, challenges, and stunts to gain followers. With a specific number of supporters under one’s belt, the festival can be moved to a new location and additional activities unlocked.
The game features three different sorts of racing modes: exhibition, championship, and rivals. Unlike the Championship, in which many races take place in different parts of the game world, Exhibition only has a single race in a central area. In Rivals, the player competes against an artificially intelligent opponent in a time trial to see who can finish first.
Added to the mix in Forza Horizon 2, Bucket List Challenges task the player with accomplishing a certain goal while driving a specific vehicle. All-new Horizon Blueprint allows players to make their own unique races and Bucket List Challenges.
The user can participate in a variety of other events outside racing and Bucket List Challenges. Driving over breakable boards called “bonus boards” found strewn about the game area grants the player experience points or a discount on fast transit. It’s possible to hear whispers of lost bard treasures as the player makes their way across the game’s world.
The player earns “skill points” after completing car stunts. Gaining a sufficient amount of experience points will allow you to buy perks that may include vehicles, additional experience points, game currency, and even driving bonuses. The user can take part in Forzathon competitions, which offer weekly challenges and rewards for successful completion.
Vehicle AI known as Drivatars makes a comeback in Forza Horizon 3, learning and recreating the player’s driving style. Drivatars can be encountered anywhere in the game environment, and they show up as rivals in races where the player can set the difficulty. Apart from conventional races, Drivatars can be challenged to a head-to-head race.
When a player wins a race, they can recruit the Drivatar competing in it to join their racing team, increasing their chances of gaining fame, fortune, and experience. The player can also recruit Drivatars in an automobile convoy. Drivatars are in-game companions that follow the player around in car convoys and can be trained with experience points to help out with various missions.
Cars include customizable elements that players may improve and fine-tune, and there are also cosmetic additions like new paint jobs and wheels. In addition, there is a vehicle customization feature called “Upgrade Heroes” that lets you change a vehicle’s performance and appearance through the use of tuning and body kits, albeit this feature is only available for a select selection of cars.
It is up to the player to design a livery for a car, as well as alter the color of the vehicle and its individual pieces. The in-game store allows users to buy and sell these liveries, and it also features an auction system where they may bid on automobiles owned by other players. At the time of the game’s release, there were 350 different vehicles to choose from.
Forza Horizon 3 features a wide variety of online multiplayer options, such as a four-player co-op and a twelve-player competition mode where players can race against each other or compete in a variety of minigames using their vehicles. Similar to previous Forza games, users can form clubs and compete against members of other clubs in races and minigames.
