Battlefield 2042 recently shared details about its sixth season, called Dark Creations. As it approaches its two-year mark, the game has faced challenges since its not-so-great launch in 2021, especially with tough competition from games like Call of Duty: Vanguard and Halo Infinite that came out around the same time.
Because of good seasonal help and important updates in the last two years, people feel a bit better about Battlefield 2042 now. Since it came out, they’ve fixed almost all the initial maps, like the much-asked-for Hourglass, and brought back the old class system that players liked.
Even though Battlefield 2042 is still getting regular updates, there’s a rumor that EA might be thinking about new Battlefield games made by different studios, including DICE.
In June, Battlefield 2042 gave a glimpse of Season 6. After Season 5 ended in late August, players had to wait for new content. But now, Battlefield 2042 shared on Twitter that Season 6, named Dark Creations, is starting on October 10.

It will bring a new map for close-up battles, along with fresh new weapons, gadgets, and items in the battle pass for Halloween vibes. On October 5, a gameplay trailer is expected to reveal more details about Season 6.
Lots of Battlefield fans were a bit puzzled after watching the video, wondering if the upcoming season would bring a PvE zombie mode. In the video, it shows operators fighting what seem to be zombie-like soldiers.
But hold on, those undead soldiers were also packing weapons and shooting back! It’s more probable that these are just zombie-themed outfits you can get in the battle pass or the in-game store.
Next month is going to be a showdown for online shooters. Battlefield 2042 is launching Season 6, known as Dark Creations, on October 10. However, it’s not the only game in town, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Haunting event starts just a week later on October 17.
There’s even a rumor about Ubisoft’s XDefiant launching on the same day. Battlefield 2042 might have its hands full with some tough competition, but fans can look forward to more Season 6 details as October 10 gets closer.
