Dead Space Remake Gives Players the Option to Avoid Graphic Content!

In the remade version of Dead Space, gamers can fast through any disturbing sequences. Dead Space is an ongoing series of science fiction horror video games created by Visceral Games and released by Electronic Arts.

Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey are responsible for creating the series; Schofield is also the director of the upcoming survival horror action game The Callisto Protocol. Engineer and protagonist Isaac Clarke are on a rescue mission to discover his missing girlfriend Nicole and a means of evacuating the Ishimura spaceship, which is infested with mutant undead creatures known as Necromorphs.

Isaac must use the mining equipment and his trademark RIG spacesuit against the Necromorphs as he makes his way through the infested ship in search of his girlfriend. There was a lot of excitement for the original game’s release, and players seemed to enjoy the fresh take on the zombie horror survival genre that it offered.

Dead Space was groundbreaking for its day thanks to its futuristic scenario, diverse arsenal, graphic violence, and innovative dismemberment gameplay. However, in the remade version, players can fast through bloody sequences.

On the official Dead Space Reddit, user jamesswazzz submitted a screenshot of the content warning prompt before violent or disturbing sequences, along with an explanation of what’s to come. If players prefer a more authentic or immersive experience, they can disable the warning and return to the game’s “default” settings.

Other series devotees voiced their thoughts on the innovative addition in the comments. While some players welcomed the change as an improvement to the game’s overall stability, others questioned the sensibilities of anyone who would play a survival horror game despite its frequent graphic bloodshed.

The prompt may put some players off because they fear it would ruin the game’s suspenseful moments, but it’s worth noting that these scary sequences are disabled by default and can be activated in the game’s settings if you want to see them.

Those who suffer from specific phobias or are more interested in Dead Space’s gameplay and story than its survival-horror elements may appreciate this option. It’s fantastic when games give players various options to create a playthrough that feels right for them. Dead Space has been released for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

  • Dungeons and Dragons Community Wins: Wizards of the Coast Decides Against Deauthorizing Original OGL!

Dungeons and Dragons Community Wins: Wizards of the Coast Decides Against Deauthorizing Original OGL!

It’s stunning that Wizards of the Coast has abandoned its plans to revoke the Dungeons & Dragons Open Game License. This marks a tentative resolution to the months-long conflict between Wizards of the Coast and its fanbase over the future of Dungeons & Dragons.

Through leaks and official pronouncements, multiple versions of a new Dungeons & Dragons OGL have recently been made public. The original proposal featured provisions for royalties, license-back payments to content creators, and more robust control over third parties.

    Dungeons and Dragons
    Dungeons and Dragons

These changes were rescinded in the revised draft, but many players were still concerned that the rules might be used to regulate things not made by the league. But in an unexpected turn of events, Wizards of the Coast has decided to abandon its campaign to have the original OGL nullified and replaced with a new one.

According to a recent survey, most D&D players are unhappy with the new OGL and would want to have the original document in place. Wizards of the Coast has decided not to publish a new draft of the OGL and instead promises to leave the original version unchanged, going so far as to cancel the poll at an early stage.

    Read More:

A massive new version of the Dungeons & Dragons rulebook (the 5.1 SRD) has been released under the Creative Commons license as if retaining the original OGL wasn’t enough of a success. This 400-page document contains almost everything from the Dungeons & Dragons Player’s Handbook, such as species, classes, equipment, and even certain monster stat blocks, but it is more than twice the size suggested by the OGL 1.2.

Since it has previously released this PDF under Creative Commons, it cannot restrict future players from using it at no cost. This is a massive victory for those who enjoy role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Since the controversy broke, the Dungeons and Dragons community has been inundated with Twitter trends, petitions, and demands to boycott the proposed revisions to the original OGL. Over 15,000 players participated in the poll, and the results directly impacted the final decision, demonstrating that a large enough group may influence a business’s thinking.

Players quickly reassure fans that this major win is not the end of the battle. Even though Creative Commons currently covers Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, it is still unclear how One D&D will be dealt with when it is released.

Even though this is a massive step in the right direction, Wizards of the Coast will need to keep up this momentum if it wants to earn back the community’s faith after the controversy surrounding this OGL event. You may buy Dungeons & Dragons right now. The rules for at least one D&D game are currently being drafted.

  • Surviving the Nuclear Winter: Fallout 4 Mod Makes Intro More Immersive!

Surviving the Nuclear Winter: Fallout 4 Mod Makes Intro More Immersive!

Despite widespread agreement that Fallout 4 deviates from realism, a new mod has been developed to bring the game’s opening sequences closer to reality. Though the next installment in the post-apocalyptic RPG series, Fallout 5, has been confirmed, it will be a while before it is released because it follows Starfield and the mysterious Elder Scrolls 6.

However, readers may always revisit the most recent installment or older ones to tide them over until the next one comes out. Although Fallout 4 (Map) was well-received in 2015, some may feel the game has strayed too far from its late 1990s origins.

    Fallout 4
    Fallout 4

One of the best Bethesda step-out moments comes here, however, in the form of a seemingly perfect family life shattered by nuclear catastrophe. The game begins with the player in their ideal home with their partner and their newborn son, Shaun.

Despite this, the protagonist and their neighbors are forced to take refuge in a nearby underground vault when they hear that an atomic bomb is imminent, and they only make it there seconds before the sky is filled with a horrific mushroom cloud.

A vital beginning, yet one reader believed it lacked authenticity. PC Gamer reports that “More Realistic Intro,” a version of Fallout 4’s opening sequence, was recently posted by Nexus Mods user Unreal Septim.

After a new game is started, the first few minutes will proceed normally. But within a few minutes, just as the newscaster announces the imminent nuclear danger, the bombs go off, destroying Sanctuary Hills and everyone in it, including the player, who hasn’t made it to Vault 111 in time. After that, it’s game over.

The game can be completed in about five minutes. However, the mod is still intriguing. Fans of Fallout undoubtedly take it as a given that their character would be one of the few survivors in a post-apocalyptic world because vaults are one of the game’s most recognizable features.

Though some may argue that it adds realism to the game, the fact that players never get to glimpse the inside of one of these fortified buildings is a significant selling point for Unreal Septim.

While several Fallout 4 mods improve the gameplay experience, “More Realistic Intro” appears to have the opposite effect by guaranteeing the destruction of all players at the very beginning of the game. That player can’t fully assume the role of the Sole Survivor is ironic, given the mod’s presence.

  • The Ultimate Injustice 3 Guide: Release Date, Leaks and Characters!

The Ultimate Injustice 3 Guide: Release Date, Leaks and Characters!

Is Injustice 3 being developed by NetherRealm Studios? Many fighting game enthusiasts are uncertain about the genre’s future in the wake of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, and this is one of the biggest concerns in the community.

No one can deny the insatiable demand for more DC Comics fighting games from Warner Bros., and many loose ends were left after Injustice 2. While we know that NeatherRealm Studios has been working on something new since July 2021, when the studio declared it would no longer be providing updates or bug fixes for Mortal Kombat 11, the nature of this “next project” is still unclear.

It has also been speculated that a Marvel fighting game is in the works. Given the number of studios collaborating with Marvel Games on new products, this is not the strangest idea. We’ll go ahead and presume. Injustice 3 is next; if you’re interested in learning more about this rumored project, you’ve come to the right spot.

    Injustice 3
    Injustice 3

    Injustice 3 Release Date

Since Netherealm has not yet formally announced Injustice 3, there is currently no set release date. As we’ve mentioned, the studio’s internal projects are still a source of much speculation. However, we are aware that NeatherRealm’s release timetables tend to stick to a predictable pattern.

The table below illustrates that the studio usually releases a new game every two years; if it weren’t for the COVID-19 Pandemic and the current troubles surrounding Warner Brothers’ merger with Discovery, we could have seen a new game from the studio by now.

While we wait, we can only assume that whatever the studio is developing, whether it is Injustice or something else, will be unveiled and made available sometime in 2023.

The Truth Behind Injustice 3: Leaked Details You Need to Know

The 28th of January, 2022 – An essential clue that NetherRealm’s next game would be Mortal Kombat 12 was perhaps given by senior production manager Jonathan Andersen. Ten minutes after posting the image below on Twitter, Andersen deleted it.

A file with the name “MK12 Mast” was visible on his screen, as noticed by keen admirers. Fans who are prepared to take the image a step further will also see a portion of an email that states, “our fans eagerly scan the internet for any trace…” This subject requires your utmost attention and caution.

There is speculation amongst some of the audience that this leak was done on purpose. We’re all well aware of Ed Boon’s penchant for teasing his audience. Until NetherRealm makes an official statement, we will have to wait.

The Great Merger Debate: Warner Bros and Discovery’s Future Uncertain

Friday, August 21, 2021 – Fans were probably expecting a new Injustice game to be developed following Mortal Kombat 11 and with good reason. That’s partly due to NetherRealm’s habit of switching back and forth between the series, as we’ve discussed before. However, this may soon change, as reported by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb.

Grubb stated on the Giant Bomb podcast that NetherRealm changed projects or maybe abandoned all prospects of working on an Injustice 3 project due to the continued uncertainty surrounding Warner Brothers Games and the Merger with Discovery.

The most logical choice would be Mortal Kombat 12, a game they already know would earn money and sell well. This is consistent with both reality and what I’ve heard. Grubb predicted that the success of Mortal Kombat 11 would be repeated with the release of Mortal Kombat 12.

However, “if you attempt to get rid of NetherRealm or sell it to somebody, you don’t have to use any of these Batman or Superman characters that might be locked up in licensing.”

    Injustice 3 Storyline Predictions

To what end will Injustice 3 be dedicated? Watch the video below from History Behind The Warrior, which compares and contrasts the two possible conclusions to Injustice 2’s Story Mode, to get a feel for what to expect.

More precisely, it attempts to determine which of the possible canon endings that could lead to Injustice 3 is the “real” one and what the implications of these alternate endings would be. This is purely speculative, and it is currently impossible to know what the story leads at NeatherRealm have in mind.

Star Citizen Release Date: Star Citizen’s Crowd-Funding Reaches New Heights, But Release Date Still Unclear!

A multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game Star Citizen is currently developing. Cloud Imperium Games is making and publishing the game on Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen is director Chris Roberts’s long-awaited second attempt at his canceled RPG Freelancer.

In September 2012, the game was introduced through a private crowdfunding page; on October 18, 2012, a Kickstarter campaign was launched and raised over US$2 million. The game was first in pre-production in 2010, and total production didn’t begin until 2011.

2023 Begins with a Bang: Star Citizen Alpha Takes Flight

The release of Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 has been pushed back to January 2023 from when it was initially planned to appear later this year. The developers stated in a recent blog post that they need more time to test the new version.

Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 will be available on Public Test University (PTU) servers starting this week, according to CIG, and will remain there until after the holidays. The update should hit the production server in the new year.

Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 is a significant update for players since it brings substantial changes to the Player’s Union (PU) in terms of content and engine technology that make the game run more smoothly and persistently.

Star Citizen’s Release Date Remains a Mystery

Like the whereabouts of Half-Life 3, the fate of Silent Hill Release date, or the arrival of a new Starfield video, the release date of Star Citizen remains a mystery. The space simulation and the trading game are still in alpha as of the latest release (3.17.2), but it has already raised over $500 million through crowdfunding.

Star Citizen’s official site, Roberts Space Industries (named after one of the in-game firms that make spaceships), keeps track of how much money has been donated to the game and how many people are playing it at once.

Star Citizen raised almost half a billion dollars when it appeared on Kickstarter in October 2012, about ten years ago. As of September 20, that sum crossed the galactic USD 500,030,039 threshold. The most recent patch made the game playable and added new ships, destinations, and delivery missions.

Star Citizen has been updated regularly since before its launch, but fans still wait for the game’s final release. New planets, ships, and activities for the game’s open-world sandbox mode will be introduced in Star Citizen’s upcoming 3.18 and 3.19 alpha updates, which are expected to drop in the third and fourth quarters of 2022, respectively.

The Squadron 42 single-player campaign, featuring Mark Hamill and Gary Oldman, has been in development for quite some time but has yet to receive a release date.

Star Citizen’s official release is still a ways off, but you can play some of the other top PC MMORPGs. You may also check out Eve Online and the revamped No Man’s Sky, two of the best simulation games and space games, respectively.

Uncover Secrets and Master the Elements in Forspoken Gameplay

August of 2022 saw the publication of a 10-minute gameplay trailer. As a result of this film, we are now aware that Cipal is the only secure location in Athia.

Many people have fled to this area from other parts of Athia because of the corrupting influence. Hundreds of foes can be found outside Cipal’s safety, so you’ll have many opportunities to try out Freya’s arsenal of spells.

The trailer for Forspoken (Release Date) debuted at the 2021 Game Awards, giving gamers a glimpse of the game’s fast-paced action, role-playing aspects, and protagonist, Frey Holland.

It appears that the game takes place in an open world where the player can freely explore (sometimes at high speeds, thanks to their talents) and combat against various foes employing various forms of magical might.

Given that it’s an RPG, you can expect to be able to improve Frey’s skills as the game goes on, and the fascinating, over-the-top fantasy scenario will help keep things moving.

When can we expect to journey into Forspoken’s world?

A new release date of January 24, 2023, has been set for Forspoken. Forspoken has been in the works for quite some time; its initial unveiling was in June 2020. This was when widespread cases of Covid-19 emerged; hence, Square Enix took a long time to announce the game’s official release date.

Starting today, January 24, 2023, Forspoken is available on PC and PlayStation 5 Exclusive. This page lists the stores that currently carry Forspoken.

The countdown begins: Pre-order Forspoken and prepares for an epic journey

As the new release year of 2023 approaches, it will be a long before we can get our hands on Forspoken. However, you can pre-order it now from retailers like Amazon and Games.

There does not appear to be a limited edition with any promised DLC, for example, possibly because it is a wholly new intellectual property and the pressures of the pandemic. Pre-order customers, however, will receive a special steelbook from Game.

Where Can You Play Forspoken? The Ultimate Guide to Platform Availability

Forspoken will be available for the Personal Computer (PC) and a limited period, the PlayStation 5 (PS5). Before today’s announcement, it was unclear how long the game would be restricted to PS5, but as of January 23, 2025, that question has been answered.

A little portion of print explaining the exclusivity can be seen in the new Play Like Never Before trailer. Forspoken will be made available on January 24th, 2023, it says in the fine print. PS5-only till January 23, 2025. You’ll have to wait two years to play the game if you own an Xbox.

Exploring the Role of the Tantas in Forspoken’s Story

Early trailers for Forspoken made a point of establishing the “Tantas” as the game’s primary adversaries. Tanta Sila, “the strongest and most formidable of all the Tantas,” is the final boss Frey must face. The Tantas…what are they, and why does Frey have to fight them?

The PlayStation Blog published an entry explaining the Tantas’ villainous reputation. There is the legend that the realm of Athia, where Forspoken takes place, was once ruled by a council of good sorcerers known as the Tantas. All of the Tanta were women who shared the burden of society’s smooth functioning.

However, the once-wise and well-liked Tantas suddenly became cruel tyrants, and they also appeared to stop working together with the rest of Athia’s populace. Tanta Prav, introduced in the second Forspoken trailer, appears even more unstable than Sila. This meeting seems to culminate in a boss battle between Fray and Prav.

For reasons that aren’t entirely clear, the Tantas view Fray as a threat. Perhaps it’s because the people of Athia perceive her as a potential savior, and she has the power to fight the Tantas. However, we believe that the Tanta is merely the public face of a more sinister, hidden enemy.

Before the ‘Break,’ Sila commanded Athia’s army, earning him the nickname “Tanta of Strength.” This event may have been the catalyst for Sila’s transformation into an authoritarian military leader. Before the Split, Prav was a judge-like entity known as the “Tanta of Justice.”

While Prav used to be kind, he has evolved into “A ruthless executioner with a perverted sense of justice.” When new details on the Tantas and the other Forspoken characters become available, we’ll share them with you. Most notably, we’re interested in how their descriptions of the characters will affect the game’s mechanics and the boss’s fights.

  • Destiny 2 Vanguard Gets Major Rewards and Lightfall Changes

Destiny 2 Vanguard Gets Major Rewards and Lightfall Changes

Bungie has provided players with a preview of the upcoming improvements to Destiny 2’s Vanguard reputation, merchant focusing, and total loot pool, all made possible by Lightfall’s arrival.

Whether farming red-border weapons in the various raids or trying to get a “god roll” on an adept weapon from a perfect Trials of Osiris card, Guardians have never been short of loot to grind for.

Bungie plans to further streamline some of these procedures by providing players with more ways to earn new and old gear directly from the dealers. Lightfall, the upcoming significant addition for Destiny 2 Lightfall, is the second-to-last part of the story arc that began with The Taken King and will conclude with The Final Shape. Traveling to Neptune, players will investigate Neomuna.

    Destiny 2 Vanguard
    Destiny 2 Vanguard

In this hidden city, a subset of mankind has prospered in the wake of the Collapse and managed to dodge the various conflicts which have overtaken the rest of the Sol System. Additionally, the Guardians will have to use the new Darkness power of Strand to assist in protecting Neomuna from an invasion headed by The Witness’s latest student, Emperor Calus.

In its recent blog post, which followed up on the previous one explaining Lightfall’s loadout and build crafting modifications, Bungie took gamers on a deep dive into vendor prizes and engram concentrating.

The studio began by discussing the changes they made to the Vanguard’s reputations and rewards, specifically how Commander Zavala now rewards Vanguard engrams that are focused on in the same way that Crucible and Gambit engrams are concentrated on by purchasing them from their respective activity vendors.

When Season 20 begins, all remaining Umbral Engrams will be “decryptable” in Rahool, making Season of the Seraph the final season to feature Umbral Engrams. Destiny 2’s blue engram drops are getting some long-requested adjustments from Bungie.

    Related Post:

In addition to the Vanguard playlist weapons and armour, Zavala will have access to a new set of Nightfall weapons that can be focused on independently. A rotating weapon that varies depending on which adept is available in that week’s Grandmaster Nightfall will be available to players who have already acquired the weapons at least once.

You can also choose from a variety of Nightfall heritage weapons that can be focused, although none of them will have an adept variant. Legacy equipment is available from the Vanguard and the Crucible, Gambit, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner vendors as of Season 20.

Legacy weapons and armor will be listed, allowing players enough to hunt to round their collections or farm for god rolls. It adds to the already plentiful variety of treasures available as of Season of the Seraph, albeit it doesn’t consider the possibility of crafted weapons in Lightfall or Season 20. Currently, you may buy Destiny 2 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

  • The Day Before: Game or Illusion? Developer Responds to Controversy!

The Day Before: Game or Illusion? Developer Responds to Controversy!

After The Day Before’s strange release date delay, rumored to be the result of a trademark dispute, creator Fntastic responded to claims that the game is fake. Many people have been interested in the zombie survival MMO The Day Before ever since it was announced, but the developers haven’t revealed much in actual gameplay.

This has led to speculation that The Day Before isn’t actually or won’t deliver as advertised. The newest postponement of The Day Before’s publication only fueled the fire. The publication of Fntastic’s The Day Before has been delayed from March until November 10.

The trademark issue over the game’s name was cited as the reason for the delay in the release date and the lack of a new gameplay video. According to Fntastic, someone else got The Day Before trademark before it could, and now it’s working with its legal team on addressing the matter.

In light of this, The Day Before has been withdrawn from Steam, and the community has turned chiefly against the project. Fntastic told IGN that it is “unpleasant to hear such charges,” referring to the speculation that The Day Before isn’t genuinely being worked on.

    The Day Before
    The Day Before

Fntastic reiterated its trust in the game, saying, “We solely believe in the end product. On November 10 of this year, you can judge for yourself notwithstanding what anyone says.” The Day Before trademark problem was also addressed by Fntastic, who stated that the release date change had been planned before the dispute arose.

The trademark issue also threw a kink into plans to release a 10-minute gameplay video of The Day Before alongside the release date postponement. The latest demo for The Day Before was shown at CES 2023 as part of Nvidia’s GeForce Beyond presentation, showcasing the game’s ray-tracing features.

Usually, The Day Before’s partnership with huge businesses like Nvidia would be enough to reassure gamers that the game is genuine. Still, the Abandoned incident has shown that even significant partners don’t ensure that a product is all it claims to be.

For the uninitiated, Abandoned is rumored to be a horror game in development for PlayStation 5 (Jailbroken). It received much-deserved attention from PlayStation in the form of a blog post on the official PlayStation Blog.

There has been much skepticism about the veracity of Abandoned’s development since the game’s announcement, and the makers have done little to dispel these doubts.

Many had begun drawing parallels between the current state of The Day Before and Abandoned, so we hope that fans won’t have to wait too much longer for an update that confirms development of the game is proceeding normally. A PC version, PS5 version, and Xbox Series X version of The Day Before are currently in production.

  • Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League – A Game-Changing Superhero Adventure!

Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League – A Game-Changing Superhero Adventure!

The game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League looked like a contender for Game of the Year last year when it was included in our Big in 2022 roundup. Rocksteady Studios revealed at the Game Awards in November 2018 that their post-Batman Arkham action role-playing superhero endeavor would premiere in 2023, with a delayed release date of May 26.

Nonetheless, I’m happy to report that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League still has all the makings of a Game of the Year contender, albeit having a bit more time in the oven than initially expected. For me, it’s because the game appears to be typical Rocksteady fare: frenetic yet controlled, packed to the rafters with boundless vitality.

However, Kill the Justice League seems to inject new levels of fun into proceedings, giving the whole product some unparalleled dark comedic value, making it stand out from the studios’ past Caped Crusader capers. It has never been wrong that the Batman Arkham series took itself seriously.

However, when games in the same genre today fail to reach the same moody heights as Rocksteady’s previous outings 14 years ago, some light relief in the form of unhinged antiheroes from the creator who does superhero hijinks best is most welcome.

Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League
Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League

Kill the Justice League puts us in the role of one of the villains, such as Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, or Captain Boomerang, and gives us the mission of eliminating the titular superhero team, which in this version includes The Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman.

From what we’ve seen of the game, that primarily entails wreaking havoc on Metropolis and beating up hordes of Brainiac’s minions. By the way, Brainiac has brainwashed the good people into bad ones, turning the community into a lawless hellscape and providing the ideal conditions for the Suicide Squad to do their work.

Harley may have to act out grappling hook dives or stuff cartoon bombs into the mouths of her foes as part of this work. The shark may be seen doing a Spider-Man–style wall run or pounding the ground with an area-of-effect assault.

Deadshot may engage in long-range sniping from the rooftops or use his machine gun to mow down targets from a safe distance. It’s also possible that the Captain will rush his enemies at breakneck speed while simultaneously dancing over them with some incredibly graceful parkour movement.

Captain Boomerang Confronts His KTJL Fears

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a long-awaited addition to the Batman: Arkham series, and while that alone is reason to be excited, the game’s approach to gameplay has some people worried, and Captain Boomerang is a prime example of that.

As players lead Task Force X on a mission to thwart an invasion from the mind-controlling Superman antagonist, Brainiac, the third-person shooter will return to Rocksteady’s take on the DC Universe, expanding upon the acclaimed Batman: Arkham titles with a focus on new characters and settings.

Despite pitching itself as a story-driven, co-op, and single-player game, a leak of Suicide Squad: KTJL’s menu revealed a setup and featured more typical of a live-service or GaaS title.

The inclusion of a Battle Pass and an in-game store has been met with backlash from some players, who have drawn analogies to the failure of rival superhero GaaS title Marvel’s Avengers (Free Cosmetics), developed by Crystal Dynamics and shut down after three years of operation.

  • Forspoken PS5 Exclusive That Defines Next-Gen Gaming

Forspoken PS5 Exclusive That Defines Next-Gen Gaming

Many people are worried about Forspoken’s frame rate because of its large file size and the fact that it requires more RAM than a Dodge to run on a PC. As a result of all that processing power, though, Square Enix’s action RPG is one of the few PS5 titles that feels like an accurate PS5 title.

Out Tuesday on PS5 and Windows PC, Forspoken portrays you as Frey Holland, a young New Yorker swept off to a high fantasy world by a talking golden bracelet. (It’s best if you don’t inquire.)

The technical requirements of Forspoken are high: Particle effects are constantly distracting, and the open world area is too big to see in its whole, even at maximum magnification.

And yet, Forspoken does have some performance concerns, as mentioned by Grayson Morley in his Polygon review. Forspoken, like many newer games, gives you the option between two different visual settings: quality (which limits the frame rate to 30 FPS to deliver sharper graphics) and performance (which allows for higher frame rates at the expense of visual fidelity).

Forspoken’s fighting and movement almost necessitate a constant 60 fps. Thus, I’ve been playing on PS5 with the performance-focused setting enabled. However, I have seen a few imperfections, such as dark hair and clipped items, that don’t affect the gameplay but are still noticeable.

However, the next-gen consoles don’t deliver on the promise of higher quality. Mark Cerny, the chief system architect for the PlayStation 5, boldly claimed that the then-upcoming console could do away with loading times back in March 2020. Forspoken is one of the few games I’ve played that delivers on those claims.

Forspoken’s cold boot time on PS5 is under 12 seconds, which is how long it takes to start the game and gain complete control of your character. In an unbelievable 1.68 seconds, you can zip to any unlocked part of the game’s universe via the game’s quick travel system.

(Each time was determined by averaging the results of five individual loading tests.) Only Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales comes close to meeting these standards. There has been a period of plateauing graphic fidelity for the past few years. Photorealism is impossible to improve upon once established, as it has been in many modern AAA games.

I am less enthused with slight visual enhancements than other changes, such as lightning-fast loading times or innovative controller options. Yet, a handful of AAA titles have effectively used the DualSense gamepad and all of the PS5’s remarkable haptic features. Unsurprisingly, for the most part, spoken does.

Frey’s right trigger tightens as she winds up a swing with her flaming sword, relaxes when she lets go, and draws again when the blade makes contact with an adversary. There are a lot of parkour sequences in Forspoken, and throughout each one, the controller vibrates to varied degrees.

It’s as if you can feel Frey’s footsteps radiating from the controller’s powder-snow-colored plastic. The cuff’s terrible, groan-worthy language has been ridiculed all over the internet, and it can speak over the controller’s speaker. (Thank goodness, it’s an option in the game’s configuration.)

Not since the 2021 PS5 roguelike Returnal, which made great use of the DualSense’s rumble to imitate the gentle pitter-patter of rainfall, have I felt a game apply the controller’s capabilities in such novel ways. Let’s hope this technology finds its way into additional apps soon.

There is nothing else like DualSense’s haptic triggers in gaming, and that’s because it requires innovative use from programmers to realize its potential fully. For more than two years now, we’ve been in a transitional phase between generations of gaming consoles, which has had an evident impact on the frequency of new video game releases.

Games like Marvel’s Midnight Suns, first released for PS5 and Xbox Series X, will not come to PS4 and Xbox One until unannounced. Others, such as Metal: Hellsinger and Gotham Knights, never even made it to the PS4 or Xbox One. You could argue that Ragnarök, God of War, should have followed suit.

The game Forspoken has several positive qualities you may learn more about here. PS5’s legitimacy, at the very least, is a statement that the gaming industry is finally ready to move on from the previous generation of consoles.

Get Ready for Secret Agent Action With GoldenEye 007 Xbox Game Pass and Switch Online Debut!

On Friday, January 27, GoldenEye 007. will be available on Xbox Game Pass and the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. Although it has received widespread acclaim since its 1997 release, GoldenEye 007 has been confined to the Nintendo 64 due to thorny licensing difficulties.

For years, rumors circulated that Xbox planned to produce a remastered version of GoldenEye 007. However, the company could never resolve the game’s complex licensing problems. The 007 video game rights have been passed around from publisher to publisher since Nintendo published the initial version of GoldenEye 007.

Now, 26 years after its first debut on the Nintendo 64, the conditions are right for GoldenEye 007 to make a triumphant return. Significant variations exist between the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X version of GoldenEye 007.

All three versions will be available on Friday, January 27. Modern enhancements, such as 4K resolution and achievement support, will be added to the Xbox Game Pass edition of GoldenEye 007 to take advantage of Xbox’s more powerful technology.

The Rare Replay collection will get it for free as well. Players who have subscribed to the Switch Online Expansion Pack tier will be the only ones able to play the online multiplayer mode of GoldenEye 007.

It’s nice to see GoldenEye 007 finally re-released on current-gen consoles, although it seems like the game might have used a matchmaking system to improve its online multiplayer modes.

Destiny 2 Offline: Players Frustrated as Bug Causes Loss of Progress!

Destiny 2 has been down all night as developer Bungie looks into why some players are losing their Triumph, Seal, and Catalyst progress. The game was taken offline on Tuesday, January 24, at roughly 2 p.m.

EST by developer Bungie. Bungie tweeted at about 10:30 p.m. EST that the problem would not be fixed that night and that the fix would be deployed between 6 and 7 a.m. EST on Wednesday (though the exact hour was still TBD).

After roughly 19 hours of downtime, the fix still hasn’t been delivered, and neither the game nor its servers are available. When the game does come back, Bungie said accounts would be reset to the point they were in at 11:20 a.m. EST on Tuesday, before the most recent update went live.

The next D2 expansion, Lightfall, will be available on February 28. Curious? Learn the ropes of Destiny 2 (Players) here, whether you’re a newcomer or a long-time player looking to get back in the game.

Duct Tape Destiny: How The Game Is Holding Up

One of my favorite games is the 2017 release, Destiny 2, a free-to-play online massively multiplayer online (MMO) looter shooter. Every chance I have, I put it on. I play a variety of roles. Currently, I own all of the most recent seasons.

That’s awesome. But I couldn’t tell the truth if I said I wasn’t worried about the game’s long-term viability, as its durability continues to deteriorate with each season. As I write this on January 24 at about 4:00 p.m., the game is still down while Bungie works to fix the most recent issue.

Meanwhile, many fans anticipate a brand-new engine and game, most likely Destiny 3. Yet, things are rarely that straightforward. Destiny 2 was pulled down earlier today on all platforms while Bungie investigated accounts losing progress on triumphs and seals, which function like in-game accomplishments and challenges.

Yes, it’s hardly the end of the world that a few players reported losing their characters last week, along with all their progress and equipment. Before then, gamers had trouble with a new task not updating. Also, there was something else there before that.

There’s a sense that by 2023, after years of patches, expansions, and other content additions, Destiny 2 is finally starting to feel the strain. Check out Bungie’s official support account on Twitter, which is updated frequently to inform players about impending patches, server issues, and other crucial information regarding Destiny 2. You’ll see several tweets that amount to Bungie saying, “Welp, this isn’t working.

It’s something we’re working to correct right now. We’ll have more details soon. It’s not unusual for online games like Destiny 2 to experience issues, and it’s not a problem unique to the genre. But it’s becoming more common among older shooters.

When you look at the tweets from that support account, you’ll see that there isn’t much of a gap of weeks between the tweets regarding problems or broken missions. According to my anecdotal experience, there are more bugs in Destiny 2 now than there ever have been.

    Read More:

The new season introduced some fun new heist tasks and some unusual lag. Unfortunately, I still encounter the issue of the game not counting every PvP match, forcing us to play more often to complete objectives and weekly quests.

And I’ve now come to terms with not all kills, missions, or other activity in-game will result in a timely updating of associated rewards. The more I consider it, the more I understand that my friends and I have grown accustomed to the unreliability of Destiny 2 and that this is a problem.

And it doesn’t appear to be improving when more content and features are added to the game. Take a look around the internet. You’ll notice that many people think Bungie should already be working on Destiny 3, a game that will almost certainly be made (and perhaps already in development) but hasn’t been confirmed.

Despite today’s lengthy maintenance, players of the shooter Destiny 3 were actively discussing its future and stability on social media. Destiny 2’s issues were thought to be solvable by starting again with a new engine and blank slate, which excited many players.

Some have pointed out that developing and releasing a fresh new game is a huge undertaking and that lacking essential features or content is impossible when it first launches. And no assurance doing so would address every new issue.

In my opinion, it would be wise to replace the current Destiny with a new one at some point. Developers might be able to create something more adaptable and suitable for the kinds of events they have spent years honing.

But I’m not so foolish to think it would solve everything magically or be trivial to develop. Nonetheless, I understand the players’ annoyance with Destiny 2’s ongoing inconsistency. Destiny 2 is like an old computer or blender: it still gets the job done, but it’s been beaten up and coated with duct tape and filth.

And you have to kick it or fiddle with the cord occasionally to get it going. It may be working for the time being, but eventually, you will need to get it replaced. And with Destiny 2, I get the idea Bungie will keep slapping on the tape for as long as it takes to bring Destiny 2 through to the conclusion of its intended roadmap, which will probably see the last season arrive in 2024.

As for what happens after that, I have no idea. By then, I’m hoping the game’s stability and dependability have improved rather than deteriorated.

  • Resident Evil 4 Remake Betrayed: Platform Promises Broken

Resident Evil 4 Remake Betrayed: Platform Promises Broken

Although Microsoft has yet to officially announce the Xbox One version of Resident Evil 4’s remake, the game has been found being advertised at video game retailers.

Capcom originally stated that the Resident Evil 4 remake would only be available for next-gen systems, such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One S, when it was first announced. However, Capcom has now broadened the reach of the Resident Evil 4 remake to include PlayStation 4.

Fans’ reactions were divided when Capcom announced that the Resident Evil 4 remake would be coming to PlayStation 4. Those who hadn’t bought a PS5 were relieved to hear they could play the Resident Evil 4 remake on their older systems.

However, some were dismayed that this would make Resident Evil 4’s remake yet another cross-gen release that wouldn’t make the most of the new hardware. Fans of Microsoft’s console are mystified as to why the Resident Evil 4 remake has been revealed for the PlayStation 4 but not the Xbox One.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake Betrayed
    Resident Evil 4 Remake Betrayed

Capcom has decided not to adopt the remake of Resident Evil 4 to Xbox One, even though it is proceeding with a PS4 version of the game. Indeed, no Xbox One port has been revealed as of this writing.

Despite this, many game stores are already advertising an Xbox One version of the game, presumably assuming it would be released for that platform following the PS4 version. Reddit user ARKGENIUS09 found an advertisement for the Xbox One version of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Capcom has not yet confirmed that the Resident Evil 4 remake will be available for Xbox One, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be. There have been speculations that the Resident Evil 4 remake is also available for Xbox One, which, if true, begs the question of why it hasn’t been announced.

It’s a strange circumstance, and no reasonable explanations are available. There isn’t much time left for Capcom to unveil the Xbox One port of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

The release date for the remake of Resident Evil 4 is rapidly approaching, and as of right now, Xbox players can expect to be able to play it only on Xbox Series X and S consoles. On March 24, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One Series X will have access to Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4 Remake SteelBook Edition Images

In just a few weeks, Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake will be released, and in preparation for the release, a beautiful SteelBook will be available for purchase. The SteelBook is sold separately from the game at Best Buy locations for $9.99.

In contrast, SteelBooks are typically included as a pre-order bonus or as part of an expensive collector’s edition. This means Resident Evil fans who want to add this to their collection won’t have to spend a fortune doing so.

This one is a steal compared to the one included in the $249.99 Collector’s Edition. Embedded below is a Tweet from @Wario64 showing off the SteelBook. The photographs show that the SteelBook case contains artwork by Leon S. Kennedy, Ashley Graham, and a group of afflicted locals from Las Plagas.

It’s an attractive poster that looks noticeably different from the one included with the Collector’s Edition of the game, so dedicated Resident Evil fans may want to pick up both. Resident Evil 4 was first released in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube. The game was an extreme departure from the series’ norm and proved an instant hit with players.

Due to its popularity, Resident Evil 4 has been ported to a wide variety of systems throughout the past 18 years, with many of these ports introducing brand-new features and upgrades.

It would be fascinating to watch how well the remake of Resident Evil 4 is received and how closely it will follow what Capcom has done in the past, given how often the game has been re-released. It’s a big ask to remake a game that’s already received high praise, but here’s hoping Capcom can pull it off.

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage 2023’s Most Anticipated Game!

Assassin’s Creed Mirage 2023’s Most Anticipated Game!

It’s reasonable that fans are worried about Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the wake of Ubisoft’s cancellations and the delay of Skull and Bones. Since the big unveiling, fans have anticipated this Baghdad-based conventional action-adventure game that would delve into Basim’s origins and why he joined the Hidden Ones.

Mainstays of the game’s design are parkour, assassination, and stealth. Whatever is going on behind closed doors at Ubisoft, it seems likely that 2023 will still be Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s year. Ubisoft has indicated that AC Mirage, Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and another game, will all be released by March 2024.

However, Avatar or the unknown game will more likely be released in early 2024 than AC Mirage. If this holds, then fans may expect to see the full rollout of AC Mirage this year.

    Assassin's Creed Mirage 2023's
    Assassin’s Creed Mirage 2023’s

Up-to-Date Information for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

So far, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage has only received a single teaser, the introduction of a few playable characters, and a few teases. There’s no hiding the fact that players will assume the role of Basim as he learns from his master Roshan and struggles to make sense of his recurring dreams.

The development studio has confirmed that the widespread belief that Loki is responsible for the specter that follows him around is false. Still, they have not addressed why Djinn torments him. This air of mystery should make for an exciting narrative.

Due to the franchise’s success and Ubisoft’s current problems, increased advertising in the coming months is the most reasonable hope for fans this year. It will likely be eager to add a victory to its record as quickly as possible, and the anticipation surrounding AC Mirage could provide that.

It has been established that besides Basim and Roshan, there are at least two other critical characters for Assassin’s Creed Mirage who haven’t been disclosed yet; unless Ubisoft is intentionally being secretive about them, fans should expect to see them pop up in the game.

While its parkour, smoke bombs, and crowds have been shown off in cinematic form, seeing them in action could be the deciding factor for many AC fans. While most of Basim’s story should be kept under wraps for commercial reasons, a story trailer or two focusing on selective assassinations is probably possible. Before the release, the game’s story, gameplay, and characters will likely be highlighted.

While making sure to distinguish Basim’s story as its own game, the marketing for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will likely incorporate references to the original game and the action-adventure-oriented entries of the franchise, given the game’s description as a “love letter” to both.

It’s not necessarily what will be presented, but that raises the most eyebrows. The answer is conditional on the arrival of AC Mirage. As of right now, whispers point to an August release date, so we can expect marketing to ramp up sometime around the beginning of the second half of the summer.

It may be announced earlier but will likely be shown at the next Ubisoft Forward event. The one from the previous year was in September, whereas the one in 2021 will be in June. Since Ubisoft usually reveals new Assassin’s Creed games at E3, having their next Forward event coincide with that year’s E3 would be a brilliant marketing move.

Date of Publication for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

Insider Gaming has heard that the development of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage has been pushed back twice before. Whether or whether this is accurate is quite unlikely ever to be proven; nonetheless, this claim says that it will release in August 2023, with a non-zero likelihood of another claiming that it will release in November.

It would be cool if Assassin’s Creed Mirage came out on November 14, 2023, if the latter scenario played out. The anniversary of AC1’s release would fall on a Tuesday, a typical day for video game launches, in one of the busiest months of the year.

If that did happen (and remember, this is all conjecture), AC Mirage would release right when consumers are most interested in purchasing new video games. That might be excellent for business, but it must come out before the year’s biggest releases.

Both August and November are reasonable release windows for eager fans. Ubisoft has to get off to a good start, as failure to do so would be disastrous. If this is also true, then AC Mirage’s release date probably won’t be announced in the first teaser of the year but rather at E3.

Will Assassin’s Creed Mirage Get DLC?

The topic of if and when AC Mirage will receive downloadable content remains unanswered. It is worth noting that pre-order bonuses and special editions of AC Mirage feature unique cosmetics and even a quest. However, there is no information on a season pass for AC Mirage in the Collector’s Edition.

Therefore, it is unknown if there will be any additional story-based DLC. At the moment, the outcome of this is uncertain. Fans will have to wait and see what happens, but 2023 may turn out to be Basim’s year, no matter how downloadable content is handled.

With the franchise’s future up in the air, many fans are crossing their fingers that it delivers on the traditional aesthetic it promises. On Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in 2023 is Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
