Developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital, Terra Nil will be available for PC through Steam and iOS and Android through Netflix on March 28.
The game’s soundtrack and a digital art book are included in the Deluxe Edition, which is included with pre-orders at no extra cost. A portion of Terra Nil’s proceeds, both from pre-orders and ongoing sales, will be given to the Endangered Wildlife Trust.

“From the very beginning of development we’ve wanted Terra Nil to be able to have a real-world impact,” said co-creator and lead designer Sam Alfred in a press release. “After much searching, we found the perfect partner to make this happen in the Endangered Wildlife Trust. Free Lives will be donating a portion of the profits of each sale of Terra Nil on Steam to the Endangered Wildlife Trust to help them in their efforts to preserve and restore ecosystems in the real world.”

In this laid-back, contemplative take on the city-builder genre, you use cutting-edge eco-technology to revive a dying ecosystem. Recycle everything and leave no evidence of your existence by cleaning the land and water, planting trees, and reintroducing native species.
Throughout a span of six to eight relaxing hours, players will explore a wide range of procedurally generated biomes, from icy volcanoes to abandoned towns and tropical islands, each with its own set of climate, geology, flora, and fauna challenges. Once you’ve conquered all four areas, you can step up the difficulty by unlocking bonus stages.
Make your own ecosystems from jungles to wetlands to rivers and see how the dry, cracked surface of a lifeless environment comes alive as you explore it. The time spent in Terra Nil is one that is tranquil, gorgeous, and wholly gratifying.
