Stardew Valley’s 1.6 updates are approaching, and creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has many fans anticipating the new features he has hinted at. By March 2022, the independent farming sim will have sold over 20 million copies thanks to its enormous fan base.
This is quite an accomplishment, especially considering Stardew Valley outperforms powerhouses like Skyrim and Elden Ring. Stardew Valley frequently ranks among the top games on Steam regarding concurrent users.
A lot of new content was already added to Stardew Valley with the 1.5 updates, including new monsters, places, characters, and craftable goods. The game has advanced significantly since its 2016 release, thanks to significant feature upgrades and numerous minor ones.
The fact that Stardew Valley is regarded as one of the most calming games to play following a demanding day is one thing that hasn’t changed.
Fans of Stardew Valley have been teased by the user ConcernedApe with the simple tweet “iridium scythe.” The fact that the scythe is the only essential item in the game without an iridium form—there is an iridium axe, fishing pole, hoe, and even a garbage can—have players excited.
There is a mod available on NexusMods that alters the Golden Scythe’s color to blend in with other items, but as of this writing, there is no other way to obtain an Iridium Scythe.
Unfortunately, not much is known now, different from the fact that the 1.6 Stardew Valley update won’t be as substantial as the 1.5 version.
The Creator of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe, shares a tweet:

It is impossible to know what ConcernedApe has in mind, but it’s plausible that he intends to provide players access to an Iridium Scythe.
In addition to being a potent Stardew Valley tool with a broader harvesting radius than the standard Scythe, the Golden Scythe also serves as somewhat of a turning point for the Quarry Mine.
The radius of an Iridium Scythe might be considerably more significant, and it might be nothing more than a Golden Scythe with more features. It’s important to remember that ConcernedApe has previously discussed Stardew Valley 1.6.

In a tweet from April, he stated that the update’s primary focus would be making mods more powerful and straightforward to use.
Fans were also assured that there would be new content, but considerably less than there was for 1.5. Additionally, to release this update, ConcernedApe has taken a vacation from working on Haunted Chocolatier.
