In contrast to most beat ’em up games, Sifu cannot be won by just pushing buttons. Gamers can strategically fight according to the circumstance by chaining their strikes together to maneuver around the placements of their opponents and their environment.
The player’s success depends on defense, such as blocking, dodging, and parrying, because opponents are also incredibly cunning and agile. Further, even secret levels can be unlocked as players eliminate more adversaries and find new information.
The game features two distinct endings depending on the players’ choices when they fight the bosses of the many gangs they encounter.
