Travelling back to 2017, Thimbleweed Park was indeed a successful throwback to the LucasArts point and click adventures. The graphics in these two games witnessed the best of the 90s and 2000s. Manic Mansion took the entire leadership into their hands, whereas co-creators Ron Gilbert, who also came up with the Monkey Island Series and Gary Winnick also assisted. It took a gap of nine years for the Terrible Toybox team to announce a sequel.
Starring the same cast, like Agents Ray and Reyes, Thimbleweed Park 2 is going to take you to the Ednubd Nansion to solve a murder mystery.
In depth, Whodunit fashion, every person residing in the mansion is seen as a culprit. You will find Ransome the Clown, Delores, and Franklin Edmund in this series, who were prominent characters in the 1st part. Although the trailer of Terrible Toybox is yet to be released, and surprisingly, the makers are seen claiming that it is not a sequel, in reality, it is not even a prequel! It can be described more like the previous Thimbleweed Park and can be equally weird. It was all over on the Steam Page. The flow will be similar to last time, and you will see a town like Thimbleweed Park, where even a dead body cannot fetch much of your interest.
Thimbleweed Park was launched first in March, 2017. The campaign launched for its publicity was immense and made it successful. It was appreciated worldwide, and even the biggest game critic, Game Informer editor Elise Favis, gave 8.5 out of 10 to this game in her game review writing. She wrote that Thimbleweed Park enjoys good humour and has designed an exclusive puzzle. The narrative, though, was full of twisted chapters that might push you away from home, yet you will indeed enjoy the whimsical journey throughout. With so many smart puzzles and stellar characters, you will have fun throughout the Thimbleweed Park game, narrated by Elise Favis.
Thimbleweed Park 2, or Terrible Toybox, is announced to launch in 2028; till then, you can imagine how the next sequel will look!
