Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 Patch 3: More Thrills And Chills In Playcare

Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 Patch 3 introduces a number of significant and small gameplay modifications to the title. These include a dynamic subtitle system, audio for moveable platforms, sticker decals, and more. The most recent version also included various bug fixes.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 was originally scheduled to be released in December 2023, but was eventually released on January 30, 2024. The title has gotten a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam.

Level Selection

  • Added a new feature that will allow players to replay levels once the player has completed the game

Minor Gameplay Changes:

  • Added a new feature that allows shaders to build during loading screens to enhance performance
  • Added a wall in the Dome that was previously missing next to the poppy panel
  • Added an Ollie call to help guide the player after plugging in the Counselor’s Office plug
  • Adjusted the crouch height of the player
  • Refined how the Smiling Critters return to their home after being shot with the Flare Hand
  • Added lights to pull handles in the Final Encounter
  • Changed both crouch and sprinting on controller to be a toggle after the left and right sticks are held for 0.2 seconds
  • Updated the credits to fix some spelling mistakes
  • Added on-screen subtitles while doing the tutorial in the Final Encounter
  • Added a feature that locks FOV while in cutscenes to help immersion
  • Cleaned up buttons in the main menu to not be as blurry
  • Added an animation for the power cell in the Intro Tunnels
  • Added an animation for the blue power cell in the Dome

Bugs Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that caused an Ollie voice line to not trigger properly after completing Final Encounter
  • Fixed an issue that caused corrupted decals in Home Sweet Home
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Kissy and Poppy cutscene to break
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Poppy and Kissy to go up the elevator without the player
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Prototype Shrine to be too dark on medium settings
  • Fixed an issue that caused one of the doors of the School to remain locked after unlocking
  • Fixed an issue that caused the four-battery receiver to show as powered before having all four batteries placed in the Final Encounter
  • Fixed an issue that caused the trash compactor to start prematurely in the Intro Tunnels
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the player to open the phone room door without completing the puzzle in the Intro Tunnels
  • Fixed an issue that caused characters to be missing in Japanese
  • Fixed an issue that caused Dogday’s jumpscare sound to play twice
  • Fixed an issue that caused a tooltip in Intro Tunnels to not appear properly
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the player to get stuck behind a gate after Kissy spawns in the hatch room of the Gas Production Zone
