Nintendo is expanding its Nintendo Switch Online game library by adding more classic games. This July (2026), three classic Game Boy titles are available to all subscribers, while one Game Boy Advance game is available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass members.
Among the biggest additions to this month’s Nintendo Switch Online update is GBA Dr Mario & Puzzle League. Released in 2005, the game collection has plenty of fun puzzle challenges. For those who are not aware, Puzzle League is the localized version of Japan’s well-known Panel de Pon. Another exciting addition is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. Originally released for the Game Boy in 1994, it is the sequel to Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and the first game in the Wario Land series.
Nintendo’s July 2026 Nintendo Switch Online update includes three Game Boy games, all of which are available to all Nintendo Switch Online members:
- Fortified Zone
- Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
- The Sword of Hope II
Game Boy Advance available to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pass members:
- Mario & Puzzle League
Apparently, Nintendo is expected to reveal more classic games for Nintendo Switch Online in August.
In addition to this month’s update, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can also play a huge collection of classic games, including 1080 Snowboarding, Banjo-Kazooie and Battletoads. The library now features more than 150 retro games from consoles like the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Virtual Boy and SEGA systems.
With the growing Nintendo Switch Online library and the recent Console Archives additions, the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are becoming excellent choices for retro gaming fans. Last week, Nintendo also added another classic action game from 1998. The four new games in the July update are now available for all active Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
