Minsgon Simulator Launches August 21 With 150+ Creatures to Hatch, Train, and Sell

Vokcen’s creature-collecting shop sim Minsgon Simulator is nearly here, and a fresh trailer has arrived to point everyone at its August 21 Steam launch. The setup is simple enough to explain in a sentence: you’re handed a pile of mysterious eggs and a storefront, and it’s on you to hatch the magical creatures inside, raise and evolve them, then work out whether to sell them or show them off. It’s out August 21, 2026, on PC via Steam.

The date itself isn’t really the news. Vokcen already pinned down August 21 in a Steam post on August 8, so this release-date trailer is less a reveal than a nudge, a reminder that launch is basically around the corner. What it does do is sell the pitch, and that’s the part worth paying attention to: a monster-collecting game bolted onto a shop-management loop, which is exactly why an indie nobody’s heard of is worth a second glance.

More than 150 Minsgons to hatch and evolve

Collecting is the hook, obviously. You drop eggs into incubators and wait for them to hatch, and the full game promises over 150 species to track down. No two come out quite the same, either, they vary by species, rarity, and temperament, and the rare eggs are where the real prizes hide. Whatever you discover gets logged in an in-game Dex, for the type of player who has to fill in every blank.

But hatching’s just the opening move. You can pet your Minsgons, feed them, clean them, tame them, and train them up, stacking experience until they evolve into tougher forms. And there’s a reason to bother beyond attachment: a Minsgon you’ve actually looked after fetches more when you sell it.

You’re running a shop, too

The other half of the game is the store, played in first person. You stock shelves, ring up customers, take payments, set your own prices, and slowly grow the place, more floor space, better incubators, the works. Once it’s big enough to be a handful, you can bring on staff, with cashiers, stockers, hatchery workers, and caretakers all up for hire.

Selling creatures isn’t the only way to make money, though. You can put together a garden exhibition and charge people admission instead, keeping your best Minsgons on show rather than shipping them off for cash. So there are really two ways to earn off the things you hatch, and a genuine reason not to flog every rare one the second it appears. On top of that sits a skill tree with abilities like telekinesis, handy for yanking objects around the shop, plus upgrades that just make the daily grind less of a slog.

There’s more layered on for the full release, too. Vokcen’s Steam page lists traveling merchants, rarer eggs, customer demand that shifts over time, deeper employee management, and even Twitch integration for anyone planning to run their shop live on stream. It’s a longer list of systems than the premise first suggests, and it’s where the game is betting players stick around past the novelty of hatching their first few creatures.

The Minsgon Simulator Prologue is already out

If you’re not sure the whole thing clicks, you don’t have to wait it out. Minsgon Simulator: Prologue landed free on Steam back on July 15, and it hands you a real chunk of the game, incubation, creature care, training, evolution, running the shop, and the garden display all in there. Reception’s been small but mostly warm so far, which is about what you’d expect for a solo developer’s game this early, and a long way from calling it a hit.

Minsgon Simulator launches August 21, 2026, on PC through Steam, published by PlayWay S.A. and Mithra Interactive. That date comes after an earlier August 13 window the developer had floated alongside the Prologue back in July.
