Manni L. Perez, the actress long rumored to play Lucia in Grand Theft Auto VI, spent about 12 minutes talking to viewers in a recent Instagram livestream. She discussed cooking, trucks and her dog. She did not answer questions about GTA 6, according to IGN.
The livestream, on an Instagram account that is about six months old and has nine posts, peaked at more than 2,100 viewers, IGN reported on October 25, 2026. Rockstar Games has not confirmed most of the game’s cast, and the reports on the stream do not show that Perez plays Lucia.
Trucks, cooking and a flood of Lucia comments
Perez talked about growing up in a “small, rural, redneck-y” town, living in a studio apartment with her dog and driving trucks as a kid, according to IGN. At one point she said she wanted a green truck.
The chat had other ideas. Viewers kept posting “Lucia” and “GTA 6,” and some brought up Jason, the game’s other lead. Other viewers asked whether she would play Rockstar’s upcoming game or was ready for its release. Perez answered other questions but left those alone, IGN reported.
A recording of the full stream, credited to Reddit user u/DMONEYDelano, was shared on X by the fan account GTA 6 Countdown and embedded by the Spanish site MeriStation.
Why fans point to Perez
The theory linking Perez to Lucia has spread among fans rather than through any announcement. IGN noted that Perez has had single-episode roles in Jessica Jones, The Blacklist and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has also worked with Rockstar before, playing a blackjack dealer in GTA Online.
That credit ties her to Rockstar’s earlier work, but it does not answer the casting question. Perez is not the first actress fans have linked to Lucia. Alexandra C. Echavarri Lecároz was previously rumored to play the character before announcing that she voiced warehouse boss Lupe in GTA Online. She also explicitly denied appearing in GTA VI, Dexerto reported.
Some coverage has gone further, suggesting that a non-disclosure agreement explains Perez’s silence. IGN said any GTA 6 role would come with strict confidentiality terms, but the reports reviewed do not show what, if anything, Perez has signed, so her silence cannot be read as a yes or a no.

Lucia before launch
Whoever plays her, Lucia is one half of the game’s story. Rockstar’s official GTA VI site puts Jason and Lucia at the center of a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida, and the October 15 launch trailer included a call from Lucia.
Players have spent months digging for real-world clues in Rockstar’s footage, from casting theories like this one to the Miami building fans believe inspired Jason and Lucia’s apartment. Answers about the cast may have to wait for the credits. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
