Lost Ark Game: Lost Ark has enforced permanent bans on inactive users, some of whom have dozens of hours of gameplay and others who have paid money for the free-to-play game, which has left several gamers perplexed and upset. As more gamers learn they’ve been banned, Lost Ark has been undergoing a review bomb on Steam.
It’s no secret that Lost Ark has a serious bot issue. The creators have taken tremendous measures to control the high number of bots by tightening security and limiting the creation of new accounts. As a free-to-play game, scammers and farmers can enter the market without risk and disrupt the player base and economy.
Lost Ark has taken this latest action even further in what seems to be a draconian effort to defend the game from bad actors. This past weekend, thousands of gamers opened Steam only to discover that they had been permanently banned from the game Lost Ark, which they probably hadn’t played in nearly a year.
Unbelievably, this ban wave uses Steam’s anti-cheat technology to target inactive players while also targeting active players. This is meant to identify cheaters or disruptive players and leaves a reasonably unpleasant mark on any Steam user’s profile showing that they’ve been banned from 1 or more games.

It’s challenging to determine the precise standards for the inactivity restriction because many Steam reviews documenting the ban display a variety of histories. Some prohibited users have played the game for up to 40 hours, but not since its February 2016 introduction.
While others have played for less than ten hours, they have been banned since they haven’t played in about six months. Others claim that they were barred despite having purchased the Founder’s Pack for Lost Ark, which granted gamers a brief period of early access to the game.
