Hogwarts Legacy Levels Up with First Major Update

The initial substantial update for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy has been released. While the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions have received the update, PS5 players may have to wait a little longer owing to “unforeseen problems.”

• Additional content has had its localization text updated.

• The reworked visual effects presentation fixes the original flaws in the robe’s metamorphosis.

It’s DirectX 12, the latest and greatest!

In order to play Hogwarts Legacy on a PC, DirectX 12 must be installed. We do not recommend attempting to employ workarounds to run the game with DirectX Version 11, since doing so can cause stability issues with starting the game and the player experience.

Meanwhile, WB claims PS5 owners won’t get their fix until later this week. The Collector’s Edition Trophy, awarded to players who have collected every item in Hogwarts Legacy, has been updated as well (of which there are many).
