In Genshin Impact’s latest trailer, we get the gameplay for the upcoming five-star character, Chief Justice Neuvillette, who will be introduced in the Version 4.1 update. The game has been steadily expanding its character roster, especially with the recent launch of a new region.
Version 4.0 brought three new playable characters: Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet, and the first part of Fontaine’s story introduced characters like Furina, Navia, and Clorinde, among others. Now, fans can look forward to Chief Justice Neuvillette’s arrival in the next update.
When Neuvillette first appeared in Genshin Impact, players couldn’t use him in the game. But he’s an important character in Fontaine’s story as the Chief Justice of the region.
Neuvillette is in charge of the Opera Epiclese and works alongside Fontaine’s mysterious verdict-dispatching machine called the ‘Oratrice Mecanique d’Analyse Cardinale.’ Besides his role in the court, players also get to interact with Neuvillette while investigating Navia’s father’s death.
This allows fans to see more of his serious personality. And soon, fans will have the opportunity to add the Chief Justice to their teams. The latest “Character Demo” trailer in Genshin Impact, named “Neuvillette: Font of All Waters,” showcases the impressive gameplay of Fontaine’s Chief Justice, Neuvillette.
Neuvillette wields a cane to control water and displays a unique Charged Attack that allows him to gather “Sourcewater Droplets” as he moves, ultimately unleashing a potent beam of Hydro damage.
Additionally, Neuvillette’s Elemental Skill summons a “Raging Waterfall” with Hydro damage aligned to the Pneuma system of Fontaine’s Arkhe. Lastly, his Elemental Burst creates waves around him, dealing area-of-effect (AoE) Hydro damage based on his maximum HP. This makes Neuvillette a regal and majestic addition to the game, offering players exciting new gameplay possibilities.
Neuvillette’s arrival in Genshin Impact has sparked a lot of curiosity, especially regarding his connection to Fontaine’s storyline. In his Character Teaser, Neuvillette drops hints about his mysterious past, which might hold clues about the true identity of the Chief Justice.
Some fans speculate that his power might surpass even that of Hydro Archon Furina, who wields considerable influence over Furina and Fontaine. Neuvillette is set to make his debut in Genshin Impact as a Hydro character, wielding a Catalyst as his weapon.
In the upcoming Version 4.1 update of Genshin Impact, players can look forward to not just Neuvillette as a new character but also another exciting addition in the second half of the update.
This new character is Wriothesley, the Administrator of Fontaine’s Fortress of Meropide. Although he hasn’t made his in-game appearance yet, Version 4.1 will introduce Wriothesley as a DPS character and the very first Cryo Catalyst character in the game’s lineup.
With both Neuvillette and Wriothesley joining the roster, players will have the opportunity to wield two powerful Catalyst characters in Genshin Impact.
