Genshin Impact’s Clorinde: Banner History, Skills and Kit Explained

This guide was first published in May 2024, before Clorinde’s release, when most details came from leaks. It was rewritten in October 2026 using HoYoverse’s official notices, so the skill names, banner dates and rerun history below reflect what actually shipped.

Clorinde is a 5-star Electro sword user from Fontaine who fights with a saber in one hand and a pistolet in the other. HoYoverse introduced her as an “undefeated Champion Duelist” who defends justice in the Court of Fontaine, and she arrived in Version 4.7 on June 5, 2024.

Two years on, she has had two character banners and one Chronicled Wish appearance. She is not on the current Version 7.1 banners, but her constellation item is now easier to get. Here is how her kit works and where she stands today.

Clorinde at a glance

A duelist who trades health for damage

Clorinde’s kit is built around Bond of Life, a Fontaine mechanic that works like a debt on a character’s health: healing first pays off the bond before it restores HP. Clorinde deliberately builds that debt up, then cashes it in for bigger hits.

Her Elemental Skill, Hunter’s Vigil, puts her into a stance called Night Vigil. According to HoYoverse’s Version 4.7 update notes, her Normal Attacks then turn into “Swift Hunt” pistolet shots that help accumulate her Bond of Life.

Using the skill again in that state changes it to Impale the Night, a lunging attack that “clears her Bond of Life and heals her.” The bigger her Bond of Life when she lunges, the wider the attack’s area and the more damage it deals.

Her Elemental Burst, Last Lightfall, grants her a Bond of Life and strikes “with saber and sidearm as one,” dealing area Electro damage. In practice, the burst refills the debt that her skill then spends.

The details that shape how she plays

• Fixed Electro damage: during Night Vigil her attacks deal Electro damage that, per HoYoverse’s HoYoLAB wiki, cannot be overridden by other infusions. She cannot use Charged Attacks in this state.
• Healing becomes Bond of Life: while Night Vigil is active, healing she receives from teammates is converted into Bond of Life instead of HP.
• Party synergy: her passive Dark-Shattering Flame adds 20% of her ATK to her Normal Attack and burst damage whenever a party member triggers an Electro reaction, stacking three times up to a cap of 1,800.
• Self-buff: her second passive, Lawful Remuneration, raises her CRIT Rate by 10% for 15 seconds whenever her Bond of Life changes, as long as it is at least 100% of her Max HP. It stacks twice.

Her constellations push the same idea further. C4 increases Last Lightfall damage by 2% for every 1% of her current Bond of Life, and C6 adds 10% CRIT Rate and 70% CRIT DMG for 12 seconds after Hunter’s Vigil.

Every Clorinde banner so far

Clorinde led the first phase of Version 4.7, not the second phase that early leaks pointed to. Her banner history, from HoYoverse’s official wish notices, looks like this:

Absolution, her signature sword

Absolution debuted on the Version 4.7 weapon banner alongside Light of Foliar Incision. It carries a CRIT DMG substat, and its passive, Deathly Pact, adds 20% CRIT DMG at base refinement. Each time the wielder’s Bond of Life value increases, it also grants 16% more damage for six seconds, stacking three times, which suits Clorinde’s kit closely.

The sword returned with her 5.3 rerun, where it shared the weapon banner with Crimson Moon’s Semblance, and again in the Luna VI Chronicled Wish.

Where she stands in Version 7.1

Genshin Impact is now on Version 7.1, “A Rekviem for the Underworld,” which went live on September 23, 2026. Its second-phase banners, running Oct. 13 to Nov. 3, feature Skirk and Escoffier, according to the official Phase II notice. Clorinde is not on them, and no Version 7.2 banners have been announced yet.

There is one change worth knowing if you already own her. Since Version 7.0, her Stella Fortuna, the item that unlocks constellations, can be exchanged in the “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far” shop, alongside those of Sigewinne and Emilie. That gives Clorinde owners a route to an extra constellation without waiting for another banner.

She also stays relevant through Fontaine’s wider story, the nation whose Hydro Archon, Focalors, first surfaced in a 2023 concept-art leak. For Clorinde herself, the next thing to watch is a future wish notice from HoYoverse; until one appears, any rerun date is guesswork.
