Do you want to learn about the latest Genshin Impact personalities? At the very least one new character is introduced in a banner with each release. One five-star and three four-star characters have improved drop rates and are featured on the banners.
Characters listed in this guide may not be playable at the moment, but they are all available in Genshin Impact. We also know which characters will be featured on future Genshin Impact banners.
Several characters that are said to be added to the free PC game in the future but may not yet have a model in-game have also been featured. Everything you read here is based on rumors and supposition, and nothing is set in stone until Hoyoverse confirms it.

Genshin Impact 3.4 characters
Alhaitham
In spite of the fact that Alhaitham was unearthed in June 2022 using a different alias, he was not made public until the third Sumeru preview video, where he was revealed to be a part of the original 3.0 storyline. He’s from Sumeru’s ruling Akademiya, and you meet him by coincidence in Port Ormos, so the story goes. With the 3.4 patches, the major five-star character Alhaitham has been announced to appear.

Yaoyao
Several characters’ speech lines make reference to a cute NPC named Yaoyao. Before working for Ganyu, she was Xiangling’s junior when the two apprenticed under the same master chef. The Yaoyao’s four-star status was verified during the 3.4 live streams, and she will be made freely available at the Latern Rite event.
Genshin Impact Characters
Mika
While no official date has been set, it seems likely that Mika, a four-star Cyro from Mondstadt and a member of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance, will be included in the 3.5 updates.
Varka
Varka, Grand Master and Knight of Boreas, is rumored to be the most powerful person in all of Mondstadt. We don’t know when Varka will be made available, and neither do we know when the other planned Genshin Impact characters will be.
Many of the game’s characters have mentioned Varka, but he has yet to be given a playable representation. Jean has been put in charge of the Knights of Favonius while Varka is off on an adventure.
Deyha
Deyha is a mercenary for the Ermites, a new group arriving in Genshin Impact who trace their ancestry back to an old civilization in the desert. She’s from Sumeru, and it appears that she will be using a claymore as her Pyro weapon of choice.
Dainsleif
Hoyoverse introduced Dainsleif, the Bough Keeper, during the 2020 Tokyo Game Show, however, they did not provide a release window. The voice actor for him has been announced, but we have no idea when he will actually show up.
Perhaps we will run into Dainsleif when we eventually investigate his native world of Khaenri’ah, an underground realm that is not a part of Teyvat.
Baizhu
Genshin Impact NPC Baizhu is the proprietor of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue. The fact that he has Dendro vision has given players hope that he may eventually be playable.

Lynette and Lyney
Lyney and Lynette, presumed twins who dress as magicians and come from the French-inspired province of Fontaine, were also introduced in the same plot preview video. It’s been theorized that two of them can be recruited together and used in tandem, trading off turns during combat.

Iansan
In the Teyvat Chapter Storyline video, Iansan was unveiled in the Natlan segment. There’s a good chance she uses Pyro, but we won’t know for sure until we see Natlan.

Who are the upcoming characters in Genshin leaks?
The only new five-stars expected before Genshin Impact 4.0 are her, Dehya, and Baizhu. If Dehya is released with version 3.5 and the other two follow in the next two updates, that corresponds to the usual version number leap.
Is Dehya a 5 star Genshin?
On January 17, Genshin Impact announced that the latest patch would include the playable unit Dehya, the famed Eremite mercenary. She wields the Claymore, and with the next v3.5 update, she will join the ranks of the elite as the first new 5-star Pyro character since Yoimiya.
