Fortnite Shockwave Hammer Glitch: A Fortnite player has discovered a bug that, when activated, makes the user of the Shockwave Hammer bounce indefinitely.
With the release of the trailer for Fortnite: Season 4, Chapter 4, players had a taste of what was to come once matchmaking was turned on and they could get back into the action.
Geralt of Rivia swinging the new Shockwave Hammer and bouncing it toward enemy players to rain down brutal force on them was one of the highlights of the season’s trailer.
This was the first time the players had seen this new kind of weapon, and while it was fascinating and made them want to try it for themselves, it also made them wary of how devastating it could be in the wrong hands.
The Shockwave Hammer is more common in certain zones, but you can still find Epic and Legendary versions all over the island.
Shockwave Hammer’s inclusion in Fortnite has polarised the community. Some think it’s great and help keep the game fair and those who think it’s too overpowered and hate having to deal with it.
When a supporter found a bug that allowed them to infinitely bounce using the hammer, the debate heated up even more.
If the player is holding a Shockwave Hammer and is close to a body of water, they can make the hammer bounce indefinitely by selecting the Bounce option just before the hammer makes contact with the water.

That’s why whenever they hit the Jump button, they won’t actually jump but instead bounce like they would with the hammer. Even worse, this won’t trigger the added cooldown to make the weapon fairer.
The Shockwave Hammer may not be a fan favorite, but it’s still one of the best weapons in the game right now. However, it may be vaulted in the long run, not only because of bugs associated with it but also because of the community’s fervent support for it.
Despite the game’s emphasis on competition, Fortnite is designed to be enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Epic Games works hard to make it both fresh and well-balanced so that everyone can have fun with it.

It is currently unclear what will happen to the Shockwave Hammer or how long it will be available outside Creative Mode. In the past, other controversial items have been removed from Fortnite without fanfare. The Shockwave Hammer could soon follow suit.
In addition to mobile devices, PCs, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox One X/S, Fortnite is now available on various consoles and gaming consoles.
