Dome Keeper is a novel take on the rogue-lite mining genre in which players face off against waves of progressively more dangerous creatures. Players may enhance their dome fortifications by mining for minerals under the surface during brief interludes between rounds of more violent assaults.

Dome Keeper Gameplay
Defend your dome from wave after wave of enemy attackers in this roguelike survival miner. Between assaults, you should be using that time to sift through the ground for hidden treasure. Apply them wisely to game-changing enhancements that will increase your chances of survival and getting to the next realm.
Seek valuable resources by boring tunnels under your dome. Keep track of time so you can return to the dome and prepare for the next onslaught. If you were to go deep this time, how far would you go? The question is, how much can you bring back?
Fend off the alien assaults by seizing control of the fortifications. Both airborne and ground-based assailants, as well as both sluggish and quick ones, must be dealt with before they can rip your dome to shreds.
Make use of your mineral haul by investing in potent upgrades like stronger weapons and drills, faster jetpacks, and more research. Discovering artifacts may offer you a fighting chance you otherwise wouldn’t have.

Profile Of The Creator
My lovely wife Anne and I, René, make up the Bippinbits. I perform game design, programming, production, and direction, while Anne does pixel art. As long as we were friends, we could always find some time to play games together. I’ve always enjoyed developing video games and eventually convinced Anne to join me. It’s a lot of fun to collaborate with your partner.
After beginning several too ambitious projects, we finally began entering game jams in 2017, mostly Ludum Dare. In 2021 we produced Dome Romantik in our tenth Ludum Dare, and it was so successful that decided to continue development under the new name Dome Keeper. Cameron Paxton joined us to compose music for the game, and Martin Kvale to make noises.
We kept bringing in freelancers, such as John Watson for graphics programming and Brandon Schenk for Pixel Art, particularly animations. Dome Romantik would not exist without Raw Fury, who saw our promise and signed us as publishers. Starting this year, I get to pursue my lifelong ambition of working as a game developer full time; I still can’t believe it.
There are hardly any builders in our part of Germany at the moment. Nonetheless, we are pleased to have been accepted into Media start, a regional initiative that will aid us in establishing Bippinbits as a legitimate business and introduce us to other local developers and filmmakers.

Making a million dollars is a goal for some of us. Raw Fury’s creators made a lot of money, more than most independent gaming studios ever hope to make in a single game. Dome Keeper, their newest game, has already reached $1,000,000 in sales, and it did so only a few hours after its release!
Raw Fury released Bippinbits’ Dome Keeper. Jónas Antonsson, CEO of Raw Fury, tweeted the good news, expressing his delight at the impossibility of the accomplishment. Within a few hours, he added, the game was profitable, and “soon after,” it exceeded $1 million. Wow, that’s remarkable for any game, but especially for an independent one.
According to a number cited by Antonsson, over 7,000 games have been released on Steam this year alone, making for some stiff competition. The “full impact” of the game was achieved thanks to the collaboration between Raw Fury and the “world-class developer,” but he also credits the game’s success to the latter.
The truth is, he is correct. Even if the programmer is brilliant, it doesn’t guarantee a brilliant game. Even if a game is really exceptional, it may not be able to break through to enough players due to the saturation of the market. The success of a creative product relies heavily on its marketing. As a result, please accept my heartfelt compliments on behalf of everyone who contributed to this endeavor. The first Tweet is shown below.
It’s not only that Dome Keeper sold well. The overall rating on Steam is 85% positive. Players have expressed their appreciation for the game’s pixel visual style, soundtrack, and sound effects. It has been said that the game’s presentation is excellent, with lovely dark backdrops, fantastic-looking visuals, ambient music, and pleasing sound effects. Everything about this is so fresh and new.
Elements of tower defense, mining, and roguelike play are all included in this game. You’re defending a little dome against hordes of creatures. While waiting for an onslaught, you must mine for materials to construct your fortifications. You may explore more and more of your dome during these mini-dig sessions, but keep an eye on the clock or you could get into trouble.
The game’s environments are a collection of despondent extraterrestrial planets rendered in that beautiful graphic style, and the tunes were composed with melody in mind. The cute tiny shadow creatures. You may be attacked by what seem to be little ghosts with projectiles. Maintaining your defenses is essential for eliminating the threat before it eliminates you.
Dome Keeper seems entertaining, and its many admirers seem to agree that its $18 price tag is justified. You may save 10% right now if you buy it on Steam. Here’s a list of alternative indie games you may be playing if you’re seeking variety.
