Dares of Eternity from Destiny 2 lives in its pocket of reality within Xûr’s realm of Eternity. Dares, which was released as part of the 30th Anniversary Pack DLC, introduces a number of things that can only be earned there—though not all of them are new.
Some things were lost in the galaxy as a result of the removal of significant portions of material from the game with the release of Beyond Light and Bungie revising planet drop pools to accommodate new weaponry. Fortunately for gamers, Xûr does not follow mortal restrictions, and his Dares of Eternity allows them to gain goods that are no longer available.
Dares of Eternity Loot Pool
Every week, the Dares of Eternity pool is updated with a new set of armor and weapons that are no longer available in-game, such as past seasonal gear.
Furthermore, Dares of Eternity is the only way to obtain 30th Anniversary weapons, such as the BxR-55 Battler or The Other Half, which may drop at the end of an activity completion or from Xûr in Eternity’s chest.
Dares has four different weapon and armor loot pools that vary weekly (the 30th Anniversary weapons, however, remain fixed). This means that each week, players have access to a new set of weapons and armor, so if you want to farm for something specific, make sure to time your farming accordingly.
Remember to trade your Strange Coins for Legendary Engrams at Starhorse for potential drops from that pool.

Dares of Eternity Random Rewards
In addition to one piece of gear from the Dares of Eternity reward rotation that week, players have a chance of receiving a weapon from the 30th Anniversary Pack. These are some examples:
- BxR-55 Battler (pulse rifle, Solar)
- Retraced Path (trace rifle, Solar)
- Half-Truths (sword, Arc)
- Wastelander M5 (shotgun, Kinetic)
- Pardon Our Dust (grenade launcher, Kinetic)
- The Other Half (sword, Void)
The 30th Anniversary weapons are now craftable with the introduction of Season of Plunder. This means that Deepsight drops of these weapons will eventually allow users to construct them, selecting perks and pieces that suit their playstyle.
The same quality pass also added additional perks to Dares of Eternity weapons (for example, Incandescent in some Solar weapons like BxR-55) and the Hot Swap origin trait, which improves handling when switching to a gun with this perk while being damaged. Most weapons require five Deepsight extractions before their pattern can be unlocked, while The Other Half requires one.
