With the game being a part of this month’s PlayStation Plus roster, Chivalry 2 recently received another significant upgrade. The timing of the update is great enough, but in addition to the usual branches of weapons, maps, and modes, this version includes the cross-platform parties feature that gamers have been waiting on for a while.
Players can join groups through this feature and compete against one another across all platforms, which should be helpful given that the game will receive an inflow of PlayStation Plus users.
Cross-platform parties function as their name implies, and they are essentially the same as the versions of that feature we see in other games.
Players can add new teammates regardless of their chosen platform by utilizing specific friend codes within the game, allowing them to continue working together. More details on this feature’s specifics were provided in the patch notes for the most recent Chivalry 2 update:
In the notes for this week’s update, Torn Banner Studios wrote, “We are excited to finally be releasing a beta version of this long requested feature to Chivalry 2, which now allows players to add players to their in-game Friend List from any platform through the use of friend codes.”

“Each player has a unique friend code that can be generated. Once added, players can invite friends and create parties in the main menu, regardless of their platform. Please note that, while this feature is now available for players, it is currently in Beta – which means some bugs and issues can be expected as we continue to improve this feature. If you are having issues with adding a friend or joining a friend’s party, please attempt re-adding your friend or restarting your game.”
