As a result of player complaints, including crash logs, Respawn Entertainment has taken Olympus out of Apex Legends’ map rotation. Even though the new Ranked Split for Season 15 of Apex Legends was meant to transport players to the vibrant world of Olympus, it has been put on hold as the development team works to resolve the challenges it has been experiencing.
The map Olympus was the third one added to Apex Legends, and it came out at the beginning of Season 7. When it first came out, it gave gamers a new map to learn, one that featured a vivid and colorful terrain loaded with various sites of interest.
Despite being a staple of the map rotation across multiple seasons, the development team recently admitted that players had received error warnings when trying to play the game on this map. These notifications occurred due to an issue with Olympus.
The developer Respawn Entertainment announced via their official Twitter account that they have decided to pull Olympus from the rotation of maps. The developer explained that this was done via a playlist update so that they could fix the map’s problems without disrupting the player experience.
So long as issues persist with the map, Trios, Duos, and Ranked will not have access to Olympus. Some players may also be disappointed to learn that the Control LTM’s Hammond Labs site is no longer a part of the mode’s rotation before its scheduled removal on January 25.

Since Olympus is no longer available for Ranked play, World’s Edge has been added. Unfortunately, no specific date was provided by Respawn Entertainment regarding when the map would be enabled again. But the developer’s choice to take the map out of regular rotation was welcomed by several players.

While Olympus may be well-liked, most players agree that it should be removed so the game may play as intended. Several players also welcomed the return of World’s Edge to Ranked. Developers have announced significant modifications to Apex Legends‘ matchmaking system and the temporary removal of Olympus from the map rotation.
The community has been complaining about unfair pairings, so Respawn Entertainment issued a long blog post explaining modifications to the ranked system, such as adding more “buckets” to account for skill levels to make teams more evenly matched.
