The Outlast Trials is a multiplayer horror game where you and your friends work together to stay alive in the Trials of Murkoff facility. Don’t play this game if you’re easily scared. It will test your boundaries. Everyone will need help getting out of Murkoff, though, even the toughest of you.

Is Outlast Trials Crossplay?
There is a cross-play between all devices for The Outlast Trials. You can get it right now on PC, Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. You can get it on PC from both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
For everyone asking about consoles, we are working to have The Outlast Trials be playable on as many platforms as possible with cross-platform play but no cross-progression. This will take time and we aim to have this for full launch, but it won’t be available for EA.

When Red Barrels released version 1.0, they added cross-platform play, so you can play on any device. During early access, you could only play on a PC. But now, your friends who play consoles can join you and help you stay alive in Murkoff.
The Outlast Trials: How to Play with Friends?
In The Outlast Trials, you can play with friends in a lot of different ways. If you want to play with friends, do these things:
- Open the invite menu after choosing a trial.
- Click on one of the plus signs that you can see in the empty player images.
- If you are a Steam player, a new screen will appear where you can quickly add friends from Steam.
- You can also use a list of friends you’ve added to ask other console friends. Your friend’s list is the second tab after “Group” in the invite section.
- Click the “Add Friend” button at the bottom of the screen to add a friend.
- Once you’ve hit on the plus signs above, the “Add Friend” button will appear.
- You’ll see your Friend code and a place to add someone else’s.
- The person will show up in the Friends tab after you type in their Friend Code and add them.
