Hustle Castle Turns 9 With $525 Million in Lifetime Revenue, MY.GAMES Says

Hustle Castle, the humorous medieval strategy RPG from MY.GAMES, has generated $525 million in lifetime revenue since its 2017 launch, the publisher said on November 2 as the game marked its ninth anniversary. MY.GAMES also said the game has reached over 87 million installs.

To celebrate, players get special in-game rewards and exclusive offers, according to the anniversary announcement. A limited-time event called The Viral Adventure starts on November 5.

The $525 million total is the latest in a string of milestones MY.GAMES has published for the game. When those figures are lined up by date, the newest jump is by far the fastest.

MY.GAMES’ own numbers, side by side

Game Empress lined up four lifetime totals that MY.GAMES has published for Hustle Castle since 2023. All four come from the company’s own announcements.

6th anniversaryMarch 1, 2023$367 millionOver 80 million downloads
7th anniversaryNovember 4, 2024$400 millionOver 80 million

Between the seventh and ninth anniversary announcements, two years apart, the total rose by $125 million, or about 31%. Measured from the March 2023 figure, it is up $158 million, or about 43%.

$75 million in about four months

That growth was not spread evenly. From November 2024 to July 2026, a stretch of about 20 months, the published total went up by $50 million. From July to November 2, 2026, it went up by $75 million.

Put another way, MY.GAMES’ own figures place more revenue in the last four months than in the 20 months before them. The July number did not appear in a headline. It sat in the short description of the game near the end of the Game of Clans announcement.

None of the four announcements explains the pace. None says whether the totals are gross player spending or the revenue MY.GAMES keeps after app store fees. The releases also use round numbers, and the latest headline says the game is “surpassing” $525 million, so the split between periods is only approximate.

The install count moved in smaller steps. It stood at over 80 million in both 2023 and 2024, reached over 85 million in July and now sits at over 87 million.

Sir Mole comes to the castle gates

For players, the main anniversary draw is The Viral Adventure, which MY.GAMES describes as a limited-time event with “a variety of unique rewards.” Sir Mole turns up at each player’s castle gates, and those who take on his challenge get a chance at his treasure.

The announcement gives no end date, start time or level requirement for the event, and it lists no promo code. Two years ago the setup was spelled out. The seventh-anniversary event, Titanic Excavation, ran until November 10, 2024, was open to players with a Throne Room at level 5 or higher, and came with the community promo code TITANS.

Free to play on phones since 2017

All of that revenue comes from a game that costs nothing to download. Hustle Castle is free on Android and iOS, and both stores say its in-app purchases may include random items.

Apple’s US App Store data gives the game’s release date as October 30, 2017, so it has now been available for nine years. Not every mobile game lasts that long. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Mobile is shutting down less than a year after its worldwide launch.

MY.GAMES has not always marked the birthday in the same month, though. Its 2023 announcement said “this March marks the 6th anniversary,” while the seventh and ninth were celebrated in November.

We checked both store pages on November 2, 2026. Google Play listed the Android version at 50M+ downloads, with 4.2 stars from 1.47 million reviews, rated Everyone 10+. The US App Store showed 4.6 out of 5 from about 45,000 ratings, age 9+, with version 1.155.0 released on October 23.

A new version every year

Behind those version numbers is Studio Nord at MY.GAMES. The team launches a fully upgraded version of the game every year, the company said in 2023. In this year’s anniversary announcement, studio head Pavel Shifrin pointed to this year’s Game of Clans update, which he said “brought a new dimension to clan competition.”

That update added a world map where clans fight zone-based battles for control of regions, according to MY.GAMES’ July release. Earlier yearly features, as listed by the company in 2023, were talents in 2021 and Titans in 2022, with a Colosseum PvP mode set for March 2023.

Those updates have been tied to money before. MY.GAMES said in 2023 that the Titans feature brought in almost 40% extra revenue in its first month and a half. The same announcement said the game’s most loyal players had been playing for more than 2,100 days, almost every day since launch.
