The most recent rumors claim that Mortal Kombat 12 will go by the name Mortal Kombat 1 and include special guests, including Homelander from The Boys and Peacemaker from DC Comics. Following the first announcement of Mortal Kombat 12 a few months ago, the official teasers are increasing interest in the upcoming fighting game.
The first Mortal Kombat 12 teaser featured little more than a grain of sand exploding, giving away the fact that the game would continue the chronology shake-up introduced in Mortal Kombat 11.
A ticking clock at 11 before leaping to 1 in the second Mortal Kombat 12 teaser gave some more information, indicating that the game would be a relaunch of the Mortal Kombat series. According to recent leaks from reliable sources, the new game, allegedly called Mortal Kombat 1, is, in fact, a reboot.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be fully exposed within the next few weeks, according to leaker Billbil-kun, whose information was confirmed by Windows Central, and is planned to go on sale sometime in September.
Mortal Kombat fans will reportedly have three editions to pick from when it launches: a $69.99 Standard Edition, a $109.99 Premium Edition, and a $249.99 Kollector’s Edition. The Nintendo Switch version will cost $59.99. Versions for the PS4 or Xbox One were not announced.

The Mortal Kombat 1 roster wasn’t revealed much in the leaks, but players may anticipate seeing some familiar faces and brand-new ones in the game. The new Mortal Kombat game will reportedly have a Character Pass to add new fighters as DLC.
