This week, MultiVersus received a new update with a set of patch notes outlining all the changes made to the game’s existing fighters, but one common complaint recurred throughout the responses to the announcement: where is the new content?
It’s a perennial question for any game, but MultiVersus players seem especially irate about new content now that the current season of the game is coming to an end and only one new fighter has been added thus far in Season 2.
Despite the lack of a roadmap being made public just yet, players are anticipating Season 3 for new content. Only a few characters on the roster were impacted by the update in question.
The only characters who changed were Iron Giant, Garnet, LeBron, Marvin the Martian, Morty, Superman, Taz, and Wonder Woman. The majority of the changes, with the exceptions of Superman and Taz, were bug fixes.
This patch is the most recent one the game has received since February 13th, and the only other adjustment was one aimed at controller users. If that’s all that needs to change, then that’s it.
However, the update’s haste after more than a month didn’t stop players from asking about new content in their comments on the game’s social media posts.
Multiverse tweeted on Twitter:
am i missing something? where are the new characters??

“I’m still gonna defend you guys but…it’s like you’re trying to anger the community,” reads one response.
“Am i missing something? where are the new characters??” reads another.
Some players cited a tweet from Tony Huynh, the director of the game, who stated on November 15th that “there will be more characters in Season 2.” The day Marvin the Martian, who is currently the only Season 2 character, was revealed, that tweet was also posted.

At this time, no additional characters from this season or elsewhere have been revealed. Furthermore, Season 2 ended up being even longer than it was intended to be.
The season had been extended until March 31st, according to a tweet from the MultiVersus Twitter account on February 8th. That puts the end of Season 2 just barely over two weeks away.
