Grand Theft Auto VI now has its age rating, and Take-Two Interactive has set the date it will next talk to investors: Monday, November 9, 2026, ten days before the game launches. Here is everything Rockstar Games and its parent company have officially confirmed, with five weeks to go.

Rated M for Mature 17+

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has rated Grand Theft Auto VI M for Mature 17+ on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The rating lists seven content descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, and Use of Drugs and Alcohol. It also notes In-Game Purchases on both consoles.

When Rockstar opened pre-orders in June 2026, its announcement said the game was “not yet rated.”

The official dates and prices

According to Take-Two’s June 24, 2026, announcement:

  • Launch: November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Price: $79.99 for the standard game and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which adds premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and other items.
  • Pre-load: Digital pre-orders can start pre-loading on November 12, 2026.
  • Physical copies: Also available from November 12, 2026. The box contains a download code rather than the full game on disc.
  • Bonus: Every pre-order or purchase before November 20, 2026, includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also get one free month of GTA+.

Earnings ten days before launch

On October 13, 2026, Take-Two said it will report results for its fiscal second quarter, which ended September 30, 2026, on Monday, November 9, 2026. That report lands ten days before Grand Theft Auto VI goes on sale.

The last report, on August 7, 2026, already leaned on the game. Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick cited “excitement around the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI” in reiterating Take-Two’s forecast of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion in net bookings for the fiscal year ending March 2027. In the quarter itself, net bookings fell 3% to $1.39 billion, and the company took a $43.4 million charge after deciding not to continue an unannounced game from an outside developer.

What Rockstar will and won’t say about the budget

In a Bloomberg report on the game’s development, Rockstar’s head of publishing, Jennifer Kolbe, said a rumor that Grand Theft Auto VI cost more than $1.5 billion was wrong, but did not give the real figure, IGN and GameSpot reported.

The game had originally been set for May 2026 before Take-Two moved it to November 19, 2026, in November 2025. Take-Two reiterated that date with its August 7, 2026, results.
