The year 2023 is sure to be a great one for fans of World of Warcraft, as the recently discovered Dragon Islands will only add to the excitement of the ongoing Dragonflight expansion. The next substantial update to the game is scheduled for release on the same day as Patch 10.1, with Embers of Neltharion promising some meaty additions to the game.
Patch 10.1 for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is planned to go out somewhere between the Spring and Summer of 2023. There should be much to do in the time leading up to its release because it will be preceded by two lesser fixes.

WOW 10.1 Release Date: When Will Be Available?
As of this writing, Blizzard has not announced a specific date for the release of World of Warcraft patch 10.1; however, we do know what will be included in Embers of Neltharion. Patch 10.1 of World of Warcraft will be available during the spring and summer of 2023, and it will introduce players to the underground Zaralek Cavern in The Dragon Isles.
The Niffen mole folk and the Drogbar aid players in navigating the tunnel and may offer new reputation tracks with additional rewards upon completion. Dragon riding is a viable method of transportation around this region. Inevitably, qualities, glyphs, and races will be added to the system. The Winding Slitherdrake mount will also become available to you.
The new Aberrus raid for the Shadowed Crucible can be found in the Zaralek Cavern. Within Neltharion’s hidden lab are nine new bosses, among them Scalecommander Sarkareth. All three modes (Normal, Heroic, and Mythic) will be available at the same time. Also, a new tier set has been announced, providing all classes access to better armor.
It’s also when Season 2 of the game begins, bringing with it new PvP and mythic+ awards and a revamped set of dungeons for mythic+ players to explore.
In addition, a new gear upgrade system will launch, which will replace Valor and Storm Gear and affect most of the game. After the second season of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight concludes, Blizzard, will “assess how well it’s working and whether we want to preserve it.”
After launch, you can do “just about everything” to acquire Flintstones, from completing world tasks to killing rare creatures to running Mythic+ dungeons to slaying raid bosses. Also, depending on the complexity of the material you’re running, you’ll gain Shadowflame Crests or pieces. Nearly any item in the maximum level gameplay ecology of Season Two can be upgraded with either currency.
Crafted items, PvP loot, and anything with a quality level close to that of a Mythic Raid drop will not count toward the maximum upgrade level.
The upgrade system is not required, and Blizzard emphasizes that players should use it “to augment and supplement your gearing adventure, not replace it.” A more in-depth explanation, along with numerical examples, may be found in a blog post on the game’s official website.
With the release of Dragonflight, patch 10.1 for World of Warcraft not only adds the new feature of Fyrakk Assaults but also makes significant changes to the user interface. Classes that are either too strong or too weak will have balance adjustments in Embers of Neltharion. As work develops, the precise nature of a patch may alter.
As the release date draws nearer, we may expect more information to be released. That is the current state of patch 10.1 for World of Warcraft. Check out the server health of the MMO for further information.
