January has been an exciting month for The Last of Us fans. It saw the release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered and casting announcements for season two of HBO’s TV adaptation.
We now know that Kaitlyn Dever will play Abby, with Isabela Merced and Young Mazino portraying Dina and Jesse, respectively. With filming set to begin soon, there appears to be no better time to revisit Part II, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered is the ultimate way to do so.
“The Last of Us Part II Remastered is utter perfection.” Naughty Dog has the advantage of working on one of the most award-winning games of all time. However, The Last of Us Part II Remastered is far more than just a fresh coat of paint.
While the extra bells and whistles increase the intensity and immersion of the core game, making it the definitive way to experience this chapter of Ellie’s tale, it’s far from the only manner in which this version shines.”
It appears that the fun will continue until February. As previously announced, Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part II is on its way. The documentary, which follows the game’s development, will be available on YouTube as well as in-game as a free update.
It isn’t the only gift the update provides. It will also contain new skins for Ellie and Abby, which will likely be useable in both the main campaign and No Return mode.
Naughty Dog revealed yesterday that the update would be released on February 2nd, which is only one week away. I adore this game, therefore I am ecstatic to watch this documentary, especially if it includes any behind-the-scenes footage from mo-cap sessions. I’m not alone in feeling excited. Fellow fans are ecstatic.
