Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae has revealed some exciting news about the upcoming action game from developer ShiftUp.
In a recent interview with Ruliweb, Tae announced that Stellar Blade will introduce a New Game+ mode after its launch. Additionally, Tae assured players that the game will not include any hidden microtransactions, except for potential collaborations with other companies’ intellectual properties (IP).
According to translations from Genki_JPN on Twitter, Tae clarified that while Stellar Blade won’t have New Game+ right away, it will be added in a future update. They emphasized that players won’t encounter unexpected costs beyond the game’s initial purchase price.
“We want to assure players that Stellar Blade won’t require additional spending beyond what they’ve already paid,” Tae told Ruliweb. “The only possible exception would be if we create collaboration costumes with another company’s IP, which might be sold separately.”
At this point, no collaborations have been confirmed, suggesting that Tae’s comments are speculative. However, given the success of ShiftUp’s mobile game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, fans might anticipate potential crossovers between these titles.
