Steelrising Assist Mode Is An Exceptional Soulslike video game that takes place in Paris in the year 1789, amid a different timeline of the French Revolution. Storytelling is an important aspect of the Spiders’ expertise, and in order to restore power to the people and bring about one of a number of different possible conclusions to the revolution, you will be required to solve a number of different intrigues, defeat incredible foes, and explore a twisted version of Paris.

Learn how Steelrising’s unique “Assist Mode” brings player accessibility to the traditionally difficult soulslike genre. https://t.co/uBw7U6Gcpg

The Soulslike genre is still intrinsically quite challenging, and all of its inspired elements could make it difficult to get started. Because of this, we have decided to include an Assist Mode in our game.

Adjustable in Steelrising are a number of settings that are extremely prevalent in games that are similar to souls:

  • The total amount of harm that Aegis has sustained (your playable character)
  • The rate at which one’s strength and stamina are regenerated
  • Whether or not XP (Anima Essence) is lost when one dies or whether it is maintained.
  • How straightforward it is to execute flawless cooldowns

This topic was brought up at the beginning of the production process in response to complaints received from fans who felt that the Story Mode of our previous game was still too challenging. In addition, the team was able to participate in an accessibility training course, which improved their ability to determine which solution would be best suited for Steelrising.

In the end, we came to the conclusion that rather than having a hard setting in the traditional sense, we should give players the ability to customize their experience with the fighting system by adjusting various factors. The speed at which the game is played does not alter, nor does the timing of attacks or the level of hostility displayed by the adversaries; these aspects of the game stay the same as they are in the base game.

The Assist Mode can be turned on at the beginning of the game, and it can also be turned on or off at any moment via the settings menu. Activating the Assist Mode at the beginning of the game is optional. You are free to utilize it solely against a certain boss or mob that you are having trouble with. If you wish to unlock all of the achievements, you should be aware that if Assist Mode has been engaged at least once while playing a game, you will not be able to unlock certain of the milestones that are tied to the game’s difficulty.

The majority of the buttons on the controller can be reassigned, which is another option that is available to you. We have high hopes that those who are intimidated by games in the Soulslike genre will be enticed by a first attempt in this genre to experience the universe of Steelrising, which is fundamentally a Spiders role-playing game. Steelrising is now available on the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S and may be downloaded immediately.
