Last November, Sega outlined its long-term support plans for Sonic Frontiers, but it did not provide a timetable for when the updates would be released. The game has finally received its first significant update since its launch last year with the arrival of the first wave.
You can open a camera and move around freely while the game is paused by selecting Photo Mode from the pause menu. Pause the game when it’s appropriate and practice your photography skills by zooming in, zooming out, tilting the camera in various directions, and using filters.
Fans can run around the Starfall Islands while listening to music from Sonic Frontiers and other Sonic games thanks to the Jukebox feature. Classics like Live and Learn from Sonic Adventure 2 are on the list of songs.
Sonic will be surrounded by a musical aura as songs are being played. In total, 53 songs are available, though initially there are only 13 of them. By gathering Sound Memories on each island, the 40 additional songs can be heard.
Cyber Space Challenge and Battle Rush are two new challenge modes that can be unlocked from the title screen after finishing the main story. Players compete against the clock in the Cyber Space Challenge to complete all of the Cyber Space stages in a row.
Here’s where you can check some of the major updates on your favorite games:

- High on Life Teases Horror-Themed Update or DLC
In the timed battle mode known as Battle Rush, you have to take out a lot of robots, Guardians, and Titans at once (you won’t have to worry about losing your rings when taking on the Titans, though).
The Sights, Sound, and Speed update for Sonic Frontiers debuts on March 22. The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam all currently have the game available.
