Look at our coverage of Skate 4 if you can’t wait to start shredding in the upcoming Skate game. Skate 4, or “Skate,” as revealed in a developer stream in July 2022, is the upcoming mainline Skate game. It has been confirmed that the game is free to play, and its creators assured fans that it wouldn’t be heavily commercialised. We’re relieved that the developers confirmed to concerned fans that “no map areas will be locked behind a paywall.”
Skateboarding video games don’t get as much attention as other sports games like FIFA and Madden. So, we’ve covered you if you want to get your hands on the next Skate game. Skate four details, such as release dates, gameplay features, leaks, etc., will all be discussed in this article.
Skate 4 Release Date Rumors
There is currently no official confirmation of a release date for Skate 4, but all (if any) information shared by the developer is included in this article, along with some speculation from Ginx on when we might see the launch.
The developers said that despite the 2020 announcement, Skate 4 was still in the early stages of development. In January 2021, the team developing the game officially announced themselves on Twitter. Thus, there is still a long way to go before Skate 4 is finished if the group isn’t formed until January 2021.
According to EA CEO Andre Wilson, the game will “launch soon,” but the exact date has received very little confirmation. It’s also impossible to predict a release date based on previous releases. Each of the three Skate games (and Skate It) was released within a year of the previous. More than ten years have passed since the last official Skate release. Because of these factors, 2023 has been estimated as the probable release date for Skate 4.

Skate 4 Gameplay Features
Pre-alpha footage, which we will discuss later in the article, is currently the only available information about Skate 4. The ability to progress in Skate 4 across platforms and at one’s own pace is a significant new feature.
As stated by the developers, there may also be a more social mode where players can hang out at skate parks with other players. After talking to the creators and trying out the pre-alpha, Jeff Grub has made the following claims:
“They are going to be taking some modern stuff, specifically the kind of stuff you might see in a Forza game or a lot of modern online multiplayer games, where you’re going to have a lot of customization options for your character, a lot of skins, skins for your board, things like that. And there’s going to be a lot of user-generated content, where you can wrap up your board with some crazy stuff that the community has made – they’re going to emphasise that stuff.”
