The upcoming animated movie Resident Evil: Death Island has a brand-new teaser video available. The video game movie’s most popular characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jill Valentine, are featured in the clip, which was revealed exclusively on IGN.
In the brief teaser, we see a zombie attack one of the prisoners. The new film takes place on the mysterious island of Alcatraz, where the characters, Leon and Chris, are conducting separate investigations. During the events shown in the movie, Leon works as a member of the Division of Security Operations, the American agency tasked with combating bioterrorism.

Chris is also a member of the worldwide organisation Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. Former allies may stymie one another as they investigate the source of the T-Virus among those who have visited Alcatraz Island. Although her role in the story has not been confirmed, Jill makes a brief appearance in a scene that is easy to miss.

The trailer also provides a glimpse at the game-inspired monsters in the film. Zombies are, of course, running amok and causing havoc on the world. The Lickers that escape their underwater cage is even more intriguing because they will almost certainly go after our heroes.
Finally, a giant aquatic monster resembles Del Lago, one of the most famous enemies from Resident Evil 4, a game in which Leon plays the lead role.
Where Does Resident Evil: Death Island Belong in the Series’ Canon?
Resident Evil: Death Island is the fourth animated film created in collaboration with Capcon, the company that created the Resident Evil video game series. Death Island, along with the other main games, the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Netflix series, and the preceding animated films Degeneration, Damnation, and Vendetta, all belong to the Prime Continuity.
The films of director Paul W. S. Anderson, the Welcome to Raccoon City film revival, and Netflix’s cancelled live-action series are not canonical to the Prime Continuity.
