The Prince of Persia series is a real video game platformer classic. The series debuted in 1989 for the Apple II Series, and it not only pushed the bounds of gameplay in its genre for its time, but it was also an impressive-looking game.
With the first game under the Ubisoft banner, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time in 2003, perhaps the finest game in the whole series with a Metacritic score of 92 getting the ‘Must-Play’ designation, the series would develop into something larger and better throughout the years.
While there were a number of Prince of Persia games released following Sands of Time, fans’ enthusiasm should have reached fever pitch when Ubisoft announced a remake of the cherished classic in 2020. Unfortunately, the internet was not kind to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake.
Sure, we had no idea how the game worked, but the graphics appeared incredibly old-fashioned, at least by contemporary standards. As a result, the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake has been repeatedly delayed, and many believe that it has been lost in the feared developmental purgatory, with reports of the remake being shelved in May 2023.
However, there may finally be some good news about the remake’s production progress, as Ubisoft has announced that the freshly refined Prince of Persia: Sands of Time has hit a crucial milestone.

We do not yet have a release date for Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, but we do know that it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Hopefully, Ubisoft will show a fresh and improved gameplay trailer, as well as the illusive release date, in the coming months.
