Red Dead Online Players
A little over a month ago, Google made the announcement that the Stadia will be permanently shut down on January 18th, 2023. After a Red Dead Online player announced that he was about to lose 8000 hours’ worth of work, this caused many to question what was going to happen to the progress that other players had made in Red Dead Online.
Rockstar Games contacted that player via Twitter Direct Message Service and informed him that all active Google Stadia players who have played Red Dead Online within 30 days of Google announcing the shutdown of the platform will be able to transfer all Online progress, including cash, gold Role XP, and more to a platform of their choice as long as it is linked to the same Social Club account.
This applies to players who played Red Dead Online within 30 days of Google announcing the shutdown of the platform. The personal computer, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4 are examples of these platforms.
Rockstar Games has not disclosed any other information on the move, including a date when the transfers will commence. We will keep you updated on the transfer date as soon as it is known.
