Poppy Playtime is a horror game that is inspired by the 80s and 90s toys and cartoons. The game was developed by Mob Entertainment and published by Game Jolt. The game has three chapters, each with its own story, puzzles, and scares. The game is available for PC, Mac, and Linux.
The third chapter of the game, titled Playcare, was released on January 30, 2024. The chapter takes place in a creepy orphanage that is connected to the toy factory. The chapter introduces new mechanics, enemies, and secrets, as well as the final confrontation with Poppy, the evil doll.
On February 9, 2024, the developers released a new patch for the third chapter, called Patch 2. The patch fixes some bugs and glitches, as well as adds some new features and improvements.

Major Gameplay Changes:
- Added controller support
Localization
- Players can now have their subtitles be independent of the language they are playing in. (ex. the game’s audio is in English but the subtitles are in Korean)
Minor Gameplay Changes:
- Updated the audio file for the VHS Tape in Cave Bridge
- Implemented a new feature to make localization more consistent
- Updated lights on elevators to help guide the player more
- Added a sound effect when the hatch opens in the Gas Production Zone
- Added a puzzle complete sound effect when placing the blue battery in the Gas Production Zone
- Added an air blast and sound effect when falling from great heights while the Grabpack 2.0 is in your inventory
Bugs Fixes:
- Fixed an issue that caused a decal to be pitch black in school
- Fixed an issue that caused a soft lock in School when the player pulled the lever and died to the teacher at the same time
- Fixed an issue that caused a door to not stay open while it was being powered by a battery
- Fixed an issue that caused the elevator after the Dog Day chase to go without the player causing a soft lock
- Fixed an issue where flares would cause movable objects to be unmovable
- Fixed an issue that caused a “Status Label” message to appear under some of the generators on the monitor under the statue in the Dome
- Fixed an issue that allowed batteries to be grabbed by Grab Turrets which then caused batteries to be glued to the hands of the Grab Turrets
Known Issues:
- We are aware that the Controller UI does not update based on what controller you are using and will fix this in a later update
