Poppy Playtime is a horror game that puts you in the role of a former employee of Playtime Co., a toy company that mysteriously shut down 10 years ago. You decide to revisit the abandoned factory and uncover the secrets behind the company and its creepy mascot, Poppy.
However, you soon discover that the factory is not as empty as it seems and that the toys have come to life and are out to get you. The game is developed by MOB Games Studios and is divided into three chapters, each with its own story, gameplay, and enemies.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 Characters
The first chapter was released in October 2021, and the second chapter was released in May 2022. The third and final chapter, titled “Deep Sleep”, is expected to be released on January 30, 2024.

The Antagonist
The antagonist of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 is CatNap, the new and terrifying monster that is the main enemy and the final boss in the game. CatNap is a giant blue plush toy that resembles a cat and is part of the Playtime Co.’s Smiling Critters line of toys.
CatNap was originally designed to be a friendly and cuddly toy, that could put children to sleep with its soothing purr and soft fur. However, something went wrong with CatNap’s programming, and it became a vicious and murderous creature, that can put anyone to sleep with its hypnotic eyes and sharp claws.
CatNap is loose in the abandoned factory, and is determined to put the protagonist and the other survivors in its Deep Sleep, a mysterious device that traps them in their worst fears. CatNap is a powerful and intelligent enemy, that can chase, attack, and kill the protagonist with ease.
CatNap can also use its elements of Fire and Ice to enhance its abilities and to create obstacles and traps for the protagonist. CatNap is the final challenge and the ultimate threat in the game, and the protagonist will have to face it in a climactic showdown.
The Allies
The allies of Poppy Playtime are the other former employees of Playtime Co., who are the supporting characters and the sources of information and guidance in the game. The allies include:
- Elliot Ludwig: The founder and CEO of Playtime Co., and the creator of Poppy and the other toys. Elliot was a visionary and a genius, who wanted to make the world a happier and more playful place with his inventions. However, he also had a dark and twisted side, and he experimented with the toys and the children in his secret laboratory, known as The Dome. Elliot disappeared after the incident that caused the company to shut down, and his whereabouts and fate are unknown. Huggy Wuggy is the first challenge and the main threat in the game, and the protagonist will have to escape and avoid it in a thrilling chase.
- Mommy Long Legs: The main enemy and the boss of Chapter 2, and the second most iconic and popular character in the game. Mommy Long Legs is a large and creepy toy that resembles a spider and is part of the Playtime Co.’s Creepy Crawlers line of toys. Mommy Long Legs was originally designed to be a scary and fun toy, that could spook and surprise children with its long legs and eyes. However, something went wrong with Mommy Long Legs’ programming, and it became a stealthy and venomous creature, that can stalk and poison anyone with its web and fangs. Mommy Long Legs is a slow and sneaky enemy, that can hide and ambush the protagonist with ease. Mommy Long Legs can also use its element of Ice to enhance its abilities and to create obstacles and traps for the protagonist. Mommy Long Legs is the second challenge and the main threat in the game, and the protagonist will have to find and fight it in a tense battle.
- Boxy Boo: A new enemy and a mini-boss in Chapter 3, and the third most iconic and popular character in the game. Boxy Boo is a small and cute toy that resembles a box and is part of the Playtime Co.’s Smiling Critters line of toys. Boxy Boo was originally designed to be a simple and fun toy, that could open and close its lid and make funny noises. However, something went wrong with Boxy Boo’s programming, and it became a mischievous and annoying creature, that can distract and prank anyone with its tricks and traps.
