Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Ice Beam: One of the strongest moves in all of Pokemon has always been Ice Beam, and this hasn’t altered in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
Players can teach a variety of Pokemon the move by using the Ice Beam TM, and the move continues to offer the perfect balance of strength, accuracy, and efficacy against a wide range of Pokemon types. Since its debut in Pokemon Red & Blue, Ice Beam has mainly remained the same move.
The attack hits dragon, ground, grass, and flying Pokemon for extremely effective damage of 90, 100% accuracy, and a chance to freeze adversaries. Almost every Pokemon Scarlet & Violet special attacker would benefit from knowing this move.
Unfortunately, infinitely reusable TMs are no longer available, but players can still create as many moves as they want with the TM Machine. However, players must first locate the TM to perform this action for Ice Beam.
Ice Beam TM Location in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, there are several locations where players can locate the Ice Beam TM. After gaining access to new locations with Koraidon or Miraidon, new powers can be obtained. Others need the player to master the ability to scale rocks, while some can be acquired after gaining access to Surf.
But some are simpler to get to than others. A little island in a river southwest of Montenevera is where you can obtain the Ice Beam TM in the shortest amount of time. By traveling southwest out of the city and via the mountains, players can reach it without any special Koraidon or Miraidon powers.
The island is surrounded by mountains, but with a precise jump, players may access it. Its precise location is shown here:
An island in the North Paldean Sea is another potential location for the Ice Beam TM. Players can reach it either by surfing over to it or by leaping off one of the mountains near Paldea’s northern boundaries and flying. By defeating the Open Sky Titan and the Quaking Earth Titan, respectively, these can be obtained.
There are alternatives to sprinting through a low-leveled area, yet this may be necessary. Along the edge of the Great Crater of Paldea, on a cliff northeast of Mesagoza, is another Ice Beam TM.
It is the easiest to get to because of its proximity to several Pokemon Centers, but players must learn how to climb rocks to access it.
Players can make more Ice Beam TMs at the TM Machine after earning one of them. 10,000 LP, 5 Cryogonal Ice, 3 Shellder Pearls, and 3 Delibird Parcels are required to purchase one copy of the TM.

Should Pokemon Use Ice Beam or Blizzard?
In the vast majority of circumstances in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Ice Beam is chosen over Blizzard. Ice Beam is 100% accurate compared to Blizzard’s 70% accuracy, despite Blizzard having 110 base power to Ice Beam’s 90. For a comparatively minor increase in power, that represents a large accuracy reduction.
In the story mode, this lack of accuracy can annoy, and it also makes Terastallization more challenging in Tera Raid battles. That’s particularly problematic in five- and six-star Tera Raid clashes, where players should be able to Terrastalize right away.
Because Blizzard hits all enemy Pokemon, multiple bouts are the only circumstance in which it is more advantageous. Even with the substantial accuracy loss, it can still consistently hit at least one opponent.
