Many Pokémon GO trainers have recently reported a little Pokémon issue due to Niantic’s ongoing Ultra Unlock event.
In Pokémon GO, Pokémon first discovered in the Galar region of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have been making their debuts as part of the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event, which began on Friday, August 20, and will conclude on Tuesday, August 31 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
However, it would appear that many Pokémon GO trainers are experiencing a visual glitch whenever they encounter a Pokémon from the Galar area in the wild.
Pokemon Go Tiny Pokemon Glitch: How to Deal with the Glitch
Most Pokémon GO trainers have reported experiencing a glitch that causes Pokémon from the Galar area to spawn extremely small.
Even though this may not seem like a big deal at first, it becomes a severe problem when they try to capture the small Pokémon, and the screen freezes, glitches, and displays strange artifacts.
Not only can trainers not catch the diminutive Pokémon, but they also can’t seem to change the screen or escape the issue without shutting the program.
The good news is that Niantic Support has acknowledged the problem on Twitter and promised a solution. However, a fix for the problem has not yet been estimated as of this writing.
Developers noted a remedy, though, refreshing your game data under the game’s Advanced Settings. As it stands, Niantic has revealed that Falinks will no longer show up in three-star raids during this event because of a problem that causes it to seem distorted during attacks.
Hi, Harrison! We're aware of the issue, where encountering a Galar region Pokémon causes a visual glitch. Meanwhile, try refreshing your game data from Advanced Settings (ensure to enable Adventure Sync back) and check again. Let us know how it goes! ^BM

The Bug Battle Begins: Pokemon Announces a New Mysterious Pokemon
We thought the Pokemon being teased here was a Bug-type, but the formal revelation a day later confirmed that it was instead a Ghost-type. Also, the name of the Pokemon, Gimmighoul, was revealed.
The mystery Bug Pokemon, datamined from Pokemon Go yesterday and previously seen in a promo for Scarlet & Violet, is now getting some official Pokemon teasing.
Pokemon enthusiasts who have been paying close attention over the past month may have seen a yet-to-be-announced Pokemon in the overview trailer for Scarlet & Violet.
The first sighting of the mysterious Pokemon, which has yet to be given a name, occurred yesterday in Pokemon Go, revealing that it is pretty small and carries a penny on its back.

However, we will soon discover for ourselves as Pokemon has begun formally teasing the unidentified man. Players have recently noticed the appearance of the little bug in Pokemon Go, which it follows about but are now unable to catch.
Gold Poke Stops have also appeared, and their loot seems to be the same gold coins seen on the back of Pokemon. Players of Pokemon have theorized that to unlock the Pokemon; they will need to gather these gold coins, a theory supported by a second tease from the Pokemon Twitter account.
A website called “?????? ” was linked to from the report; the page featured a mysterious chest with a series of numerals on either side of it.
Dataminers have scoured the site’s files and discovered photographs of the trunk open and full of the same gold coins found in Pokemon Go, suggesting that the chest’s intended use is to be stuffed with cash.
Like Meltan’s unveiling before Sword & Shield’s debut, collecting coins in Pokemon Go (Players) will cause them to appear on the website, and if a certain quantity is reached, the new Pokemon will likely be revealed.
Even though the chest is locked and the counter hasn’t moved yet, the tweet pointing to the site confirms that the campaign will begin at 6 am PT.
