GO Battle Weekend: Clay

From July 1 to July 2, Pokémon GO will host a special GO Battle Weekend featuring Clay, the Ground-type Gym Leader from Unova. During this event, you can challenge Clay in the GO Battle League and earn exclusive rewards, such as Clay’s outfit, Clay’s Palpitoad, and Clay’s Excadrill. You can also encounter more Ground-type Pokémon in the wild, such as Sandshrew, Diglett, Geodude, Onix, Cubone, Rhyhorn, and Drilbur.

To participate in this event, you need to reach at least rank 10 in the GO Battle League Season 15. You can also use a Premium Battle Pass to increase your chances of encountering Clay and his Pokémon. The best way to defeat Clay is to use Water-, Grass-, or Ice-type Pokémon, as they are super effective against Ground-type Pokémon.

7th Anniversary Party

From July 6 to July 12, Pokémon GO will celebrate its 7th anniversary with a particular party event. During this event, you can enjoy various bonuses and features, such as:

  • A free party hat Pikachu encounters when you log in for the first time during the event.
  • Increased spawns of party hat Pikachu, Pichu, Raichu, Eevee, and Eeveelutions in the wild and raids.
  • The debut of shiny party hat Pikachu and Eevee.
  • A chance to encounter party hat Ditto when catching certain Pokémon.
  • A special 7th-anniversary gift box in the shop contains 30 Ultra Balls, a Super Incubator, a Lucky Egg, a Star Piece, and a Premium Battle Pass.
  • A particular 7th-anniversary research task that rewards you with a party hat Bulbasaur encounter.

Squirtle Community Day Classic

On July 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO will host a Community Day Classic event featuring Squirtle. This is a makeup event for the original Squirtle Community Day in July 2018. During this event, you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Increased spawns of Squirtle in the wild and raids.
  • The debut of Shiny Squirtle with sunglasses.
  • A chance to encounter Squirtle with sunglasses when completing Field Research tasks or hatching eggs.
  • A chance to evolve Squirtle into Blastoise with Hydro Cannon as its exclusive move.
  • A bonus of triple catch XP.
  • A bonus of three-hour incense duration

To make the most of this event, you should catch as many Squirtle as possible, especially the shiny ones with sunglasses. You should also evolve your best Squirtle into Blastoise with Hydro Cannon before the end of the event window. Hydro Cannon is a powerful Water-type move that can make Blastoise a useful attacker in raids and battles.

Catching Some Z’s Event

From July 15 to July 16, Pokémon GO will host a Catching Some Z event that celebrates sleeping and dreaming Pokémon. During this event, you can encounter more sleeping and dreaming Pokémon in the wild, such as Snorlax, Drowzee, Hypno, Munna, Musharna, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Espurr, Meowstic, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff. You can also enjoy the following features:

You should also use a Mystery Box or complete Field Research tasks to encounter sleeping Snorlax, a rare and powerful Pokémon. Blaze New Trails

From July 21 to July 24, Pokémon GO will host a Blaze New Trails event that features Fire-type Pokémon. During this event, you can encounter more Fire-type Pokémon in the wild, such as Charmander, Vulpix, Growlithe, Ponyta, Magmar, Flareon, Cyndaquil, Houndour, Torchic, Numel, Tepig, Fennekin. Riolu Hatch Day

On July 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO will host a Riolu Hatch Day event that features Riolu. This special event allows you to hatch Riolu from 2 km eggs. During this event, you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Increased chance of hatching Riolu from 2 km eggs.
  • The debut of Shiny Riolu.

Poliwag Community Day

On July 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO will host Poliwag Community Day, an event that features Poliwag. During this event, you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Increased spawns of Poliwag in the wild and raids.
  • The debut of Shiny Poliwag.
  • A chance to evolve Poliwag into Poliwrath or Politoed with Earth Power as their exclusive move.
  • A bonus of triple catch candy.
  • A bonus of three-hour lure duration.

To make the most of this event, you should catch as many Poliwag as possible, especially the shiny ones. You should also evolve your best Poliwag into Poliwrath or Politoed with Earth Power before the end of the event window.
