Palworld has issued a new update that addresses some of the game’s outstanding difficulties while also making modifications not previously discussed by the developers. Palworld players may be unaware of this, but the game is available in two versions.
The most recent version is available on Steam, while people who play Palworld on Xbox or the Microsoft Store on PC have a somewhat older version. For example, the Steam version of the game includes dedicated servers and can support up to 32 people at once, whereas Palworld on Xbox has multiplayer limits, such as no dedicated servers and only up to 4 players in cooperative mode.
Because there isn’t genuine parity between the Xbox and Steam versions of Palworld, updates will occasionally be issued for one but not the other, as is the situation with the game’s most recent upgrades.
Palworld Patch Notes
On January 22, Palworld released an update for the Xbox/Microsoft Store versions of Palworld that addressed several flaws in the game, including unexplained “sound issues.” However, this upgrade produced some of its issues, therefore a new update was released on January 23.

The new version addresses errors introduced in the previous one, such as a problem in which Palworld users would load up the game and see a static black screen, as well as several PC-specific issues. The most recent updates to the game also introduced certain adjustments that were not mentioned in the patch notes.
It is unknown how many modifications were made to Palworld that were not noted in the patch notes, although the Technology menu appears to have been altered. For example, previous to the upgrade, the Egg Incubator was among the usual set of craftable goods that could be obtained using base Technology Points, but it has now been relocated to the Ancient Technology category.
This implies that beginners on Xbox will have to wait a little longer to obtain Egg Incubators, but it appears that this was always the case for those playing on Steam.
Ancient Technology is obtained by spending Ancient Technology Points gained by beating bosses. Palworld bosses are identified on the world map. They are made up of larger, more powerful Pals and what are essentially Palworld’s equivalent of gym leaders.
Palworld “gym leaders” can be located in towers, and players must battle not only a powerful Pal but also their human trainer. In any event, further modifications to Palworld may have occurred that were not noted in the patch notes, so fans should keep a lookout.
