A new map, a new way to earn credits through the game’s seasonal battles passed, and a series of special events, including a new valentine’s day-themed event and the return of Pachimarchi, the celebration of all things Pachimari, had been introduced on Tuesday, February 7 with the started of season 3 of overwatch 2

One punched man-inspired skin had been available in overwatch 2 for the first time in the game’s upcoming third season of content. As the seasons changed, new skins were required. The majority of the skins for season 3 were based on mythology from china, japan, and Korea, with the new Amaterasu mythic skin for Kiriko being the highlight of the premium battle passed.

In addition to skins for D.Va, Zenyatta, Genji, Mei, and Ashe (and BOB), the battle pass will feature themed skins for Moira, Reaper, and Junkrat.

The dates for when the Loverwatch mode and the Hanzo 4v4 mode will be playable in the game are February 13th through the 28th. On March 21, PachiMarchi will be released alongside a new Kill Confirmed game mode and a variety of skins, player icons, weapon charms, and name cards to use in the game.

Players who log in before the event ends on April 4 will receive a PachiMarchi Roadhog player icon and have the chance to earn the Epic-level Pachimari Roadhog skin by completing themed challenges.

With the release of Overwatch 2 Season 3, Blizzard is also releasing a number of balance changes and quality-of-life updates. Before the season’s official launch, the developer plans to reveal more information about balance and competitive changes, but here’s a taste of what’s new, courtesy of Blizzard:

  • If you’re playing a game mode that doesn’t use a role queue to balance out the strength of duplicate heroes on the same team, you’ll notice that tanks have less health. Health totals will remain the same for tanks when playing any Role Queue-enabled game.
  • The maximum ultimate charge retained when swapping heroes is reduced from 30 to 25%.
  • Mercy is receiving nerfs, and most supports have received minor balance changes.
  • Damaging enemies with Rammatra’s ultimate now slows the duration timer down instead of pausing it entirely.
