Overwatch 2 Patch Notes: A hotfix for Overwatch 2 from Blizzard has been published, balancing out several characters. After Season 2 premiered, it could do so very swiftly because of a new hotfix method. As a result, Blizzard may make minor balance adjustments right away instead of waiting weeks for platform certification.
This week, Team 4 declared that it would soon be making modifications to Sojourn, Doomfist, Ramattra, Roadhog, and Tracer. This time around, Roadhog was omitted, but Blizzard also changed Orisa, Ana, and Kiriko. After the Season 2 launch update, Doomfist was unquestionably too powerful.
He is now less resilient, and Rocket Punch has a longer cooldown, which is a blessing. The damage falloff for Orisa’s primary fire has been increased, and her Terra Surge ultimate has been improved. Ramattra needed a boost, but I’m not sure whether these modifications weren’t a bit excessive.
He gains additional armor and a speed boost when he transforms into his adversary form. That might make him feel more oppressive, especially when combined with Kiriko’s ultimate and Lcio’s speed increases. When his ultimate is engaged, he will move more quickly, making it harder to flee.
Significant (and perhaps much-needed) nerfs were applied to Sojourn. One reason is that Power Slide has a longer cooldown. Her disruptor shot will no longer impede your movement if you get caught in it, and her primary fire has a broader area of effect. There may have been one too many abilities with a slowing AOE with Ramattra now in the mix.

The damage output of Tracer has decreased (somewhat reversing a Season 2 launch change), while Kiriko’s Protection Suzu’s invulnerability duration has decreased, possibly to make up for the shorter cast time. Thoughts on Ana boosts are always welcome. Longer effect duration for the Biotic Grenade and more damage and healing output for the Biotic Rifle? Yes. Give me. The game’s best hero just got a little bit better.
