Only a few days after the extensive leak of the most recent Magic: The Gathering set, March of the Machine: The Aftermath, it appears as Wizards of the Coast has reacted. The majority of the cards were made public in an unboxing video uploaded by the YouTube user Oldschoolmtg after they were able to obtain them.
However, it appears that WotC found them, took the cards, and had the video removed. In a new video fittingly titled “The Aftermath of The Aftermath,” Oldschoolmtg reported that WotC had removed the cards that he had shown off in the unboxing video.
You’ll be startled to find that Wizards of the Coast allegedly sent the Pinkertons to seize the cards from him as he related how it all transpired. In Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur Morgan was pursued by the same organization.
Oldschoolmtg stated that his wife let several men in who claimed to be from the Pinkerton Agency, a private security company. The “stolen” Magic: The Gathering cards were supposedly what they were there to seize.

It might be frightening to have private security officers sent after you, especially if they suspect you of stealing something. The cards weren’t stolen, Oldschoolmtg said, but rather were sent to him by a buddy who mistook them for the Collector’s boosters for the March of the Machine set.
Nevertheless, he gave the agents his entire cooperation and the cards. The Pinkertons then provided him with a Wizards of the Coast representative’s contact information. The WotC person was reportedly quite understanding when contacted.
The representative acknowledged that it was more probable than not a mistake that the cards were sent rather than theft, unlike the Pinkertons whose purpose it was to frighten. However, they had to be located so that WotC could determine what went wrong.
They also discussed Oldschoolmtg’s potential for recompense. The leaker displayed all 50 cards from March of the Machine: The Aftermath in three unboxing videos. The mini-set includes several legendary creatures as well as several reprints and unreleased cards.

The Kenrith’s Royal Funeral and Jolrael, Voice of Zhalfir, both of which were previously announced by WotC, were both featured often in the film. Wizards of the Coast has not yet released a statement regarding the leak, and given that it dispatched a private security company to track down Oldschoolmtg, it very well may not.
However, everything seems to have gone well, so maybe you may anticipate a comment shortly. They went to tremendous measures to keep Aftermath as covert as they could, therefore there will undoubtedly be an internal probe.
Before the leak, all we knew was what WotC wanted us to know: that Karn, Sarkhan Vol, Nissa, and Nahiri were depicted with a symbol thought to represent planeswalkers who are no longer able to roam the multiverse.
