A Mortal Kombat 12 guest character may have just been hinted at, and if so, it would be the first time the game’s roster, or in this case, the DLC roster has been revealed. Guest characters aren’t part of the base roster of the game.
Suppose you’re wondering how DLC characters might be teased and leaked before the game has even been announced or launched. In that case, it’s because NetherRealm Studios has probably already planned out the game’s DLC roster and even started developing some of these characters.
The rumored tease does not come from NetherRealm Studios, its publishing partner/owner WB Games, or anybody connected to either. Instead, it comes from Jez Corden, a business insider.
The name will also seem familiar to Mortal Kombat fans because Corden mentioned last month that he had heard the game would be shown at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase, which is expected to occur this month.
The lack of mention of Mortal Kombat 12 is why the tease has been classified as a “potential tease.” Greg Miller of Kinda Funny, who tweeted about Peacemaker, starts the teasing. Corden responds, “would be cool if he was playable in an upcoming fighting game.”

It has been noted that while this is a clear Mortal Kombat 12 tease, it is still an evident tease. Despite this, Mortal Kombat 12 appears to be the game in question considering all the current rumors surrounding it, its constrained number of potential outcomes, and the story above from Corden.

If you’re unfamiliar with Peacemaker, he’s a DC character who debuted in Fightin’ 5 #40, published in November 1966. The appearance of Peacemaker in the Suicide Squad movie in 2021 has made him more prominent than ever before, despite not being the most well-known DC figure in the pantheon.
John Cena, who also played him in the upcoming HBO Max TV series, makes an appearance as him. Cena will almost probably provide his face and voice to the character if he also appears in Mortal Kombat 12.
